Analysis of the Usual Time of a Driver Observing Specific Objects
Fujačková, Hedvika ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on drivers of motor vehicles and the usual time they spend by specific objects. The theoretical part of the thesis brings an overview of literature on human perception. The eye-tracker is defined here as the instrument used for scanning the movements of the drivers eyes, here are also named its types and its applications in various fields of life. Finally, this part deals with the advertisements placed alongside roads acting as distractive elements. The experimental part builds upon the collected video recordings and offers an analysis of drivers’ observations of outdoor advertisements that attract their attention, mainly billboards.
Driver distraction
Plucková, Iveta ; Belák, Michal (referee) ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (advisor)
This thesis investigates the level of distraction while driving. The first part of the thesis is focused on the literature review in the field of distraction while driving. Several methods of measuring distraction while driving are being addressed here. The analytical part of the thesis draws on the video recordings of driving tests which were provided specifically for the purpose of this thesis. The resulting data were evaluated with goal to determine the time of visual fixation on traffic signs and advertising equipment in the urban area/non-urban area during the day/night and subsequent comparison of the visual perception of traffic signs and advertising equipment.
Analysis of children's reaction time
Bucsuházy, Kateřina ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with children‘s reaction time. The theoretical part of this work describes children as vulnerable road users and discusses methods of measuring reaction time. The practical part presents some realized experiments refer to the children’s reaction time and their results evaluation.
Checking of the Situation Behind the Vehicle
Perničková, Tereza ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the control of the situation behind the vehicle. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the knowledge about the transport system, the reaction time and the individual phases, including the factors influencing the reaction time and the possible methods of its measurement. Further, there are issues of vision from the vehicle and the rules of safe driving. Explanation is the eyetracking method, the types of these devices, and the methods of visualizing the data obtained from the records. In the analytical part are drawn from data recorded video. There are testing route, testing device, testing vehicle and information about testing drivers. The frequency and length of the individual components of the mirror views were evaluated depending on the selected mirror even without dependence from the data obtained.
Checking of the Situation Behind the Vehicle
Ryšavá, Kristína ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of control the situation behind the vehicle, in the theoretical part discusses the indirect view from the vehicle, reaction time and possibilities of its measurement and the possibilities of measuring eye movements using eye trackers, The second part of the thesis deals with the description of the measurement method used to obtain the needed data and the analysis of the situation behind the vehicle using rear view mirrors by analyzing the duration of the fixations in the rear view mirrors and the total duration of the view in the rear view mirrors.
Analysis of older drivers' vehicle driving behaviour
Maršálek, Lukáš ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on elderly drivers‘ behavior in various traffic situations and its comparison with a group of drivers in their productive years. The first part of the thesis compiles the current state of knowledge of the matter with a focus on age-related changes in driver performance. The analytical part is dedicated to the evaluation of the data collected from test drive video recordings. The data is evaluated to determine time spent on risk area assessments and habits of the groups. The added value and possible limitations given by the methodology are evaluated in the final part of the thesis.
Detection of QRS complex in experimental ECG data
Bucsuházy, Kateřina ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This Bachelor work deals with QRS complex detection. The theoretical part of the presented work is focused on summary of selected methods of QRS complex detection. There is described in detail wavelet transform, which is used for realization of QRS complex detector in Matlab. Specifically is used redundant dyadic discrete wavelet transform and biorthogonal wavelet with odd symmetry bior1.5. The algorithm was evaluated on the standard CSE database. The detector was modified to be able to detect QRS complexes in experimental data.
Analysis of time demandingness for solution of selected road traffic situations by drivers
Krejčiřík, Roman ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the analysis of driver time, which is needed for solving the chosen traffic situation in regular road traffic. The thesis aims to find out the duration, which drivers need for evaluation of chosen various types of intersections, and the duration which is needed to safely drive thru those intersections. Based on the theoretical part of this thesis, the experiment was proposed. This experiment was accomplished by real drive testing. The experiment took place in the city of Brno, with 10 participants. The purpose of the experiment was to obtain the required times for decision-making for 7 different situations in city traffic. Data were collected by eye tracker and afterwards, these data were evaluated and sorted by different categories and factors. The results were compared between the same intersections and also between different intersections. Obtained results give basic information about duration, which is needed for solving the situation. The shortest time obtained was 2,1 s.

Influence of selected factors on driver behavior
Křemenová, Tereza ; Belák, Michal (referee) ; Bucsuházy, Kateřina (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the influence of certain types of intersections and at the same time the time of day. The theoretical part describes the introduction to the factors affecting the driver when driving a motor vehicle. Furthermore, the work defines road junctions by law, types of road junctions and research on the issue of road junctions. The practical part of the diploma thesis is devoted to the evaluation of the total number of primary and secondary views of certain types of intersections and their average duration of day or night. At the same time, it evaluates the first direction of view according to the type of road (secondary road / main road) and the subsequent direction of travel. The obtained data are evaluated in the chapter discussion / analysis of results. The evaluated data in the first part showed that the secondary views have a shorter average duration compared to the average duration of the primary views. In the second part, the results of day and night were identical only at the roundabouts, when the drivers made the first direction of view to the left.
