1 Name of paper / Name of work The implementation of social services quality standards in residential facilities for elderly people - Ethical aspects Abstract The changes in the approach to the clients and adjustments of the run of the facility to their needs are one of the biggest long-term challenges for the service providers. The basis for the correct setting of all the parameters of service (process, personnel and operating) are standards in the quality of social services which involve certain principles and ethical values altogether. One of the essential tools in the changes in approach to clients is the principle of individualization of care, which can be achieved by setting the services to each client individually so that the service provided reflects their real need as much as possible. This dissertation focuses on the individualization of care as a significant indicator in the changes of approach to clients. We tried to figure how the individualization of care reflects in the attitudes of organizations to implement quality standards and how it affects the worker's personality and chosen organizational aspects. This Bachelor's thesis entitled The establishment and verification of tools for the tracking of user satisfaction with services provided in a retirement home is concerned with the quality of social services provided in a retirment home. The aim of the thesis is the establishment and control of a new tool for the monitoring of satisfaction of individuals living in a retirement home. In light of the aim of the thesis it will be necessary to work with the regulation n.15 Increasing the quality of social services. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical parts. In the theoretical part, the services provided by the retirement home and the means by which they are evaluated are introduced. The scope of the requirements and needs of seniors living in a retirement home are also outlined. Mapping of the workload of social service workers in homes for the elderly

This thesis focuses on mapping out work burden of formal caregivers in social services, above all on cathegories influencing a level of the burden. Its aim is to describe cathegories/areas of work burden of caregivers in retirement homes at standard wards and at wards with a special measures regime, where they take care of clients suffering from dementia. A sub-aim is to find out whether there are differences in perception of the work burden at the two types of wards and differences between work burden at these wards. Based on the conclusion of this thesis, recommendations for the management of retirement homes will be formulated. The research will be conducted in a retirement home which has both types of wards - the standard one and the one with speacial measures regime. Its respondents will be the formal caregivers of these wards. Impact of sheltered housing social service on its clients

The diploma thesis topic is an impact analysis of how social services affects clients of community living for disabled people. The main goal of this thesis is to answer a question whether the social service leads to decrease of its range. The clients sample of 12 was selected from those who use the service longest. The data analysis of individual service records complemented with qualitative quality available data confirmed the assumed hypothesis. The initial hypothesis assumed that 80% of clients who use the community living for disabled people the longest lead to decreased the need of provided services. The secondary goal of this thesis is to suggest options how to improve the efficiency of provided services to the service providers. The thesis deals with the topic of ulcerative colitis and its psychosocial impact upon adolescents. The main goal of the thesis is to identify, through qualitative research, the psychosocial factors that influence the adolescent in his everyday life and to map the situations that are most difficult for the teenager. The topic is based on the theoretical part, which consists of information about the diagnosis and course of ulcerative colitis, treatment methods and complications connected with them. The theoretical part also deals with describing the psychosocial factors of ulcerative colitis and describing adolescence as the stage of an individual's life. The research part describes a qualitative research method that answers the main research question. The output of a qualitative research survey is 7 identified areas that are most influenced by ulcerative colitis during adolescence. The current practice of community outreach teams for people with severe mental illness

Community mental health teams common in many countries with developed community mental health care have been slowly advancing in recent years. It is expected that this trend will continue to grow with the reform of psychiatric care. The diploma thesis focuses on community mental health teams for the target group of people with severe mental illness, which are one of the basic pillars of mental health care abroad. The theoretical part describes the activities of these teams in the context of community mental health care and also presents these teams mainly in terms of their composition and way of work. The research part analyzes the current situation of four specific teams in terms of multidisciplinary composition and team cooperation, describes and interprets some of the specific difficulties that these services face in the beginning of multidisciplinary teamwork and captures some specific moments of their functioning. Utilizing a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with team leaders and their founding organizations has enabled them to convey the specific context of these teams and at least partially capture the dynamics of their current state and development. Negotiations of sales representatives of pharmaceutical companies in the eyes of pharmaceutical assistants.

Ethical behavior is an inseparable part of business life and can have a major impact on corporate culture in business companies and their communication with clients. The aim of this work was to find out how the behavior of sales representatives of pharmaceutical companies in pharmaceutical pharmacies is perceived, to describe the ethical aspects in this field, and then to propose recommendations for adjusting internal rules, values or ethical code in a selected pharmaceutical company. This task was accomplished by carrying out qualitative research to analyze and deeper describe how pharmaceutical assistants in pharmacies perceive the behavior of sales representatives of pharmaceutical companies. In order to eliminate the identified circumstances in this field, the proposed recommendation for the selected company is a thorough knowledge of ethical principles and the incorporation of techniques into the training program of the company that focus on empathy is proposed. In conclusion, adherence to ethical principles and the right corporate culture in the company can be considered crucial in the context of successful cooperation between the sales representative and the pharmacy.
The needs of non-medical staff members in acute psychiatric care

The thesis is based on the needs of non-medical staff members in acute psychiatric care. The main aim of the thesis is to identify the needs of staff members and the relationship to their work. The theme is focussed on theoretical part and formed by information about the needs, motives and motivation in general within a working context. It further focuses on the branch of mental health care, describing the history of psychiatric nursing and current trends in psychiatric care. It then provides an analysis of specifics of psychiatric nursing and goes on to present the possibilities of professional support of the nursing staff. The practical part describes a qualitative study that aims on identification of needs of non-medical staff members working on acute psychiatric unit. The result of the study is formed by 23 identified domains of the needs implanted into the theoretical framework of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. In making recommendations for practise the author uses two attitudes for practical implementation of the results: 1. the results are rearranged into Herzberg's two factor model of motivation, 2. the mind map is used to capture the most dominant groups of needs and their mutual interferences. The role of inspection in forming the policy of increasing the quality of social services in the Czech Republic.

This thesis deals with the role of inspection in shaping the policy of increasing the quality of social services in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the provider, the founder and policy makers. The policy of improving the quality intentions and direction, which should lead to the identification of existing service levels, remedy identified problems and improve performance at different levels. The first part deals with general and specific quality concept in the market sector and in social services. The evaluation systems and quality management known from the commercial sector are presented and subsequently applied to the evaluation of the quality of social services. The practical part of my attempt is to answer the question, how inspection affects improving of policy-making quality of social services. The main method used is a case studies based on semi-structured interviews. In conclusion, the outputs describing the role of inspection from the perspective of individual actors are presented. The Evaluation Process of Employees in the Organizational Body of Funded Organizations

The thesis consists of a case study and focuses on the processes of assessment, training and remuneration of employees in the organizational component of a budgetary organization. The introductory part focuses on the opinion of experts on human resources management with emphasis on the areas studied. Special emphasis is placed on the evaluation process, its methods, evaluation criteria, classification, evaluator's personality and the course of evaluator's meeting with the person who is being assessed. We also focused on training and remuneration - processes following the evaluation. Concerning educational issues, we were interested in the opinions of professionals focusing on identifying the needs of training, its planning and results evaluation. Remuneration was viewed as one of the most effective tools to motivate employees in connection with the transfer of assessment to the remuneration. The application part of the thesis introduces in-depth analysis of the current levels of the evaluation process and the processes connected with it - training and remuneration of employees in the selected organization.
