Artificial Intelligence for Game Playing
Bayer, Václav ; Škoda, Petr (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
The focus of this work is the use of artificial intelligence methods for a playing of real-time strategic (RTS) games, where all interactions of players are performed in real time (in parallel). The thesis deals mainly with the use of machine learning method Q-learning, which is based on reinforcement learning and Markov decision process. The practice part of this work is implemented for StarCraft: Brood War game.A proposed solution learns to make up an optimal order of buildings construction in respect to a playing style (strategy) of the opponent(s). The solution is proposed within the rules of the SSCAIT tournament. Analysis and evaluation of the proposed system are based on a comparison with other participants of the competition as well as a comparison of the system behavior before and after the playing of a set of the games.

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis was the implementation of application for playing logical games. This work deals with Android platform and the possibilities of creation and deployment of applications for this platform. The known algorithms that are used for implementation of an artificial intelligence are described in the work. The ways of wireless communication between mobile device are also mentioned. The graphical user interface of application, solution of an artificial inteligence and the network communication are described in the implementation part of this work.
XML Dictionary Tagging
Vavrečan, Lukáš ; Škoda, Petr (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with processing of electronic dictionaries in the LMF format, their analysis and conversion into an unified form. The aim is to create a system, that can make the machine processing of dictionaries easier, thanks to the mass changes. We will introduce the necessary technology, especially Python3, format XML and LMF.

Arimaa
Kanis, Martin ; Škoda, Petr (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
Arimaa is a board game with simple rules. It is simple for human but at the same time difficult for computers. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to familiarize with game playing methods with features of the artificial intelligence. The next aim is to design and implement the program, that would be able to play against others players and programs. The most important features of the program are move generation, search and evaluation of positions. At the end, the program was tested on the game server, where played against others programs.
