Jewellery
Cendelínová, Kateřina ; Gašparovičová, Lucia (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the methods of creation and innovation in the field of original jewellery. This includes the process of creating my own brand, including the creation of a corporate identity, branding strategy and communication with the target audience. An important part of the project is the presentation of a collection of my own designer rings.
Vertical level design
Mrkus, Matyáš ; Záhora, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the development of a game space for a group studio project, the output of which is a playable prototype of the game route. It deals with design from the point of view of verticality connected with maximum use of minimum space. With its approach, it tries to refute characteristics such as linearity and flatness, and further identify and define the principles of guiding the player in relation to an impressive gaming experience. Its goal is to find a method for consistently effective design and routing of the game space for the single-player FPS game genre and apply it to a playable prototype of the studio project. To identify the principles, an analysis of a case study of the game title "Dark Souls" (FromSoftware, 2011) was used, the findings of which are subsequently listed in a clear list applicable to any game project.
Detached house on a sloupe
Vincenc, Lukáš ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is design documentation for construction of family house. House is designed for permanent housing for family of four members. The building has one above-ground and one underground floor, which is set into the slope. The plan of the house is T-shaped. Vertical circumferential and supporting constructions are designed according to Porotherm system and are equipped by contact thermal insulation system. Horizontal load-bearing structures are made of reinforced concrete. Roof construction of the object is composed by shaped roof.
Detached house
Drongová, Zuzana ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the preparation of project documentation at the level of construction implementation. The aim was to design a family house with almost zero energy consumption. The family house is partially basemented and with a habitable attic. The building is roofed with a gable roof with a corrugated metal roofing. On the south-west side, a dormer roofed with a pitched roof is proposed. On the northwest side of the building is a one-car covered garage with rhombus wood siding and glass infill. The roofing is designed with a vegetated flat roof. The main load-bearing system is made of aerated concrete blocks. The perimeter basement masonry is made of lost formwork blocks. Thermal insulation of the building is solved by contact insulation system ETICS. The building is based on foundation strips.
PANOPTIKON
Hofmann, Petr Eric ; Smetana,, Matěj (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The chosen output for this master's project is the creation of a 360° animated video, where the image recording is captured in all directions simultaneously. The nature of this video lies in allowing the viewer, based on their activity, to look around the environment of the ongoing action and immerse themselves in the video's environment. Each viewing of the video is unique because the viewer never sees the entire scene at once; everything around them happens in parallel, providing a nonlinear film experience not only from the narrative side but also from the visual side. The final 360° video is interactive, requiring the viewer's active participation to utilize its full potential, as most of the additional content remains hidden without activity and in a static state of the video. This video format shares the property of interactivity with the environment of digital games and can be understood as a hybrid connection of these two media. In terms of content, the project processes Jeremy Bentham's concept of the Panopticon, an architectural object where all its inhabitants should be under constant surveillance. The narrative follows the activities of five characters who, although separated from each other in isolated rooms and are under constant surveillance by the viewer in the observation room, manage to escape from the architectural construct after several unintended mistakes. The main function of the project is to emphasize visual elements strongly from both the content and formal perspectives and thus provide the viewer with an extraordinary experience
Use of clothing in games (alternative uses of clothing in games, clothing as a narrator)
Volkova, Zoya ; Záhora, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the use of clothing and dressing up as one of the key game mechanics in digital games. The textual part of the work explores existing possibilities of using clothes and dressing up, looks for unusual uses, analyzes the correlation between clothes and other game mechanics or the game world. Based on this research, proposes an alternative solution in the form of a practical part of the thesis. Which focuses on the creation of a game prototype that integrates clothes and dressing up as the main game mechanic. The game prototype is intended to provide players with an unusual experience that influences the meaning and interaction with clothing in the real world into the game environment. The work aims to show a different perspective on the use of clothing in games through a game prototype.
Detached house with a workshop
Kynclová, Eliška ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor´s thesis is design documentation for construction of family house with parlor. House is designed for family of five members. The family house is located on a flat plot. The building has ground floor and basement. The building has a partial basement with two above-ground floors. The object is based on basic passports. The vertical perimeter structures are designed from the Porotherm system. Horizontal load-bearing structures are made of reinforced concrete. Roof construction of the object is composed by flat roofs and shaped roof. Drawings were worked out in software Archicad.
Implementation of a computer game with themes of board and card games
Haraším, Richard ; Strouhal, Jonáš (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
Thesis presents the design and implementation of a demo version of a roguelite-style computer game that combines elements of board and card games. The thematic focus is on the treatment of purgatory and the phenomenon of mutations. The author explores the possibilities of adapting the genre to new approaches. In particular, issues of automation and procedural environments. Based on his previous work, the author focuses on working with 2D graphics and specific game mechanics. The visuals will work with a dark to horror atmosphere and aesthetic. The goal is to present the complete process of creating a computer game and present a working demo. Part of the overall vision of the project is to design the marketing strategy, business model and how to complete the game into a full version.
Additive Technologies in Construction: Shifting the Paradigm of Building
Vaněk, Vojtěch ; Chomová, Štěpánka ; Pěnčík, Jan
Additive manufacturing is gaining importance in the building construction industry. With 3D printers for concrete or other materials, there have been significant advances in the material properties and technical excellence of the printed structures, which has enabled their huge expansion in the construction market. If properly embraced, additive manufacturing in the construction industry can bring about fundamental changes in structural design, crating safer, more efficient, economical, environmentally friendly and aesthetically attractive building elements and structures. Another application in the construction industry is in space construction. Here it has a major role in the use of autonomous site control on distant planes, which can be first tested, used and developed on Earth.
Shear Testing of Bonded Joints of Cement and Reinforcing Fibre Composite Material
Nespesny, Ondrej ; Vaněk, Vojtěch ; Pěnčík, Jan
This publication focuses on the testing of bonded joints of cementitious and reinforcing fibre-based composite materials in shear, which is one aspect of the selection of joint properties in numerical modelling. In this study, experiments were conducted with different parameters such as adhesive type, surface preparation, and curing time to achieve optimum bond strength. The experimental results were analysed and compared. The results can be used as a basic resource for structural design. The article is related to the issue of testing interior staircases made of cement and fibre-reinforced composite material.
