Methodology design and proper measurement setting evaluation of ultrasound testing of composite propellers
Běhal, Antonín ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on non-destructive ultrasonic testing of composite aircraft propellers. The theoretical part contains a review of manufacturing technologies of laminate propellers and their design. The practical part of the thesis contains the design of ultrasonic testing methodology. Dolphicam 2+ device is used for testing. The creation of appropriate settings of the ultrasonic device, for different laminate thicknesses, is performed on calibration samples containing artificially created defects. By comparing the default and modified settings, it was found that the use of the modified settings greatly improves the distinguishability of the defects from the defect-free laminate. Confirmation of the functionality of the modified setup is performed using a real propeller test. The work serves as a sample procedure for testing a laminate propeller by ultrasonic defect detection.

Horák, Marek ; Jebáček, Ivo (referee) ; Juračka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deal with design of EV-55 Outback airplane with pressurized cabin. In this thesis are given common principles and requirements of regulations on construction pressurized cabin. A necessary fuselage modifications and fuselage construction are included. Also construction and build up of air-conditioning system and emergency oxygen system are included. Some parts of this thesis are about weight and balance, definition of pressurized cabin load, simple stability analysis and basic flight performance calculation. At the end of this master’s thesis a result of weight and flight performances are compared with analogous airplanes by other producers.
Analysis of ageing of selected materials used in sewage systems
Horák, Marek ; Stanko,, Ing Štefan (referee) ; Tlolka, Jan (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with analysis of the ageing of concrete and reinforced concrete pipes in sewage systems. The ageing of the sewage system is caused by several reasons, for example material abrasion, chemical and biological corrosion and subsequent static overload sewer construction. One of the common causes of degradation of sewage systems made from materials bonded with cement sealant is biogenic sulphate corrosion. Due to the corrosion the degradation of the pipe walls accelerates, particularly in upper part of the pipe and reduces planned lifetime of the sewage system. There is proposed new ageing analysis monitoring method for observation and evaluation of the loss of thickness of concrete and reinforced concrete pipes, which is caused by biogenic sulphate corrosion. Residual lifetime is calculated from the expected corrosion rate, it`s the loss of wall thickness on the monitored section of the sewer system. There is designed the monitoring system of the loss of wall thickness on the sewage system for practical application of the measurement procedure, which is administrated in cooperation with the BVK, a. s. The thesis uses existing knowledge regarding this subject. We use this information for better understanding of the process of the loss of wall thickness in sewage systems in real time and the posibility to correct and in-time implementation of appropriate operational measures. This should cause the limitation of the degradation process of piping material while extended service life and safe operation in sewage systems within the required time period. Based on the methodology is proposed to determine the residual life of the sewage system and maintenance and rehabilitation can be done more effectively. There is needed to be noted that only long-term monitoring period can bring a better overview of the technical condition of sewage systems in time and thus better and more effective maintenance and rehabilitation, which is related to the effective u
Aircraft air-conditioning systems
Lednický, Ondřej ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the aircraft air-conditioning systems, their functions and basic tasks needed for a safe and comfortable flight. The thesis is divided into several chapters: the first one deals with the most important factors influencing human health. Next chapter is focused on a description of the assurance of main components which are composing the aircraft air-conditioning system. Final chapter of the thesis deals with oxygen systems, which are essential for the survivor of the passengers in the case of an accident.
Design of certification static strength tests of the aircraft UL category
Serediuk, Vadym ; Horák, Marek (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
The diploma thesis involves the design of certification static strength tests for the newly developed aircraft of the TL-Ultralight company. At the beginning of the work, the theory of aircraft testing is generally discussed with emphasis on static strength tests. Furthermore, an analysis of the requirements of the Czech regulation UL 2 and the German LTF-UL, which represent the certification basis for this aircraft, is performed. The requirements of regulations on the construction of the aircraft (or its individual parts) and the requirements for strength tests are discussed in detail. Based on the regulation and the provided calculation protocols, individual test cases and test plans of the wing, tail surfaces, engine bed, and chassis are calculated and prepared. In the end, the calculation of the rocker system and the basic design of jigs are performed.
Construction of equipment for thin walled L-profiles instability testing
Polčák, Marek ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Horák, Marek (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with the loss of stability of axially loaded thin-walled aluminium profi-les, which make up an important part in the aircraft structures. The loss of their stability is tes-ted by the compression test, which is used to determine the buckling load. Compression test may be influenced by many factors, which are related to the fixing to the testing machine. The aim of the thesis is to design a fixture, which would fix a specimen to the testing machine and improve the results of the test.
Air transport helicopters
