The Bill of Exchange as an Instrument Used in Business Relations
MAŠKOVÁ, Lenka
This bachelor thesis focuses on bills of exchange. It presents specific cases of their utilization in business relations and points to their advantages and disadvantages and to the related risks. An emphasis is put on and the own research that is based on the actual current practice. Four cases of bill utilization were examined, that finally lead to judicial recovery of the bill amount. Methods of qualitative research and non-standardized interviews were used. The results were subsequently processed in the form of descriptions of the individual cases and the individual cases were evaluated. The thesis also includes examples of the specific bills of exchanges discussed in the individual cases. The research has shown, among other things, that a bill of exchange can be a very effective tool to secure receivables, however it can be also very treacherous. The law of bills of exchange is not a simple one. Entrepreneurs who decide to participate in relations involving bills of exchange, either as bill holders or drawees, should very well consider whether they have all the information about what it actually means to issue a bill of exchange or to accept it, what are the particulars of a bill of exchange to be valid and which other risks are associated with the relations involving bills of exchange. As demonstrated by the presented cases, it is recommendable to turn to experts specializing in bills of exchange law and thus to eliminate potential risks in the future. Among other things, this bachelor thesis also proves that, although business partners are equal in business relations, in relations involving bills of exchange the bill holder has, as a rule, a slight advantage over the drawee. This naturally applies only on the condition that the concerned bill of exchange is valid.
Ethological study of marmoset monkeys in Jihlava Zoo.
ROHELOVÁ, Markéta
Pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea) is the smallest species of marmosets (Callitrichidae) and at once the smallest monkey of the world. The diet of pygmy marmoset consists of exudates (gumivory), fruits and insects. It lives in monogamous pairs where dominant pair gave birth to two offspring. Main care is provided by male and older siblings. Mother care about offspring only when nurse them. This study was performed in zoo Jihlava where was the carrying of infants (Cebuella pygmaea) the main focus of observation. The carrying was provided by two different species - pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea) and golden lion tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia). This group of marmosets lived in the same cage. Observations were made six hours per week since third to twelve week of offspring life. All behaviour was directly observed and compared with another species of Platyrrhini. The comparison of breeding conditions in zoos and private facilities was another aim. It was found that at the beginning the male (father) carry offspring most often. Since the fourth week it was greatly replaced by lion female. The first observation of young without carrying individual was done in their fifth week. Since this time, both lion males start to carry (male - 1 mainly in 7th and 8th weeks). In 9th week young became more and more independent. The lion female, pygmy marmoset male and lion male - 1 were the most frequently carrying individuals, respectively.
The polymorphism of sericin 2 gene in silkworm (Bombyx mori)
TYLLEROVÁ, Helena
In our study, we examined the polymorphism of gene Ser2 from domesticated silkmoth Bombyx mori and its closest wild relative B. mandarina. As a starting material for our work, we used the restriction map of allele C isolated from hybrid lineages 200 and 300 of European silkmoth B. mori (Michaille et al. 1990a). We also used the published sequence of allele D which was isolated from {\clq}qDaizo`` p50 strain of B. mori (Kludkiewicz et al 2009). Based on the published sequence, we designed PCR primers and performed sequence analysis of 4 different alleles of gene Ser2, including the almost complete genomic sequence of allele C (except for two short regions containing repetitive DNA). We then compared the sequences and found that the alleles differ significantly not only in intron lengths and the sizes of exon 9, but also in exon arrangements. While the allele C contains 12 exons (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8a, 9, 10, 11, 8b), the alelle D and other alleles analysed have 13 exons (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9a, 10a, 9b, 10b, 11). Allele C showed very unique arrangement of exons, which suggested that it may represent an ancestral form of Ser2 gene. We analysed the arrangment of exons located at the 3´end of the Ser2 gene by PCR and electrophoresis in 70 available strains of B. mori and B. mandarina. We also tried to find a similar allele to the allele C and we amplified and sequenced 2 kb region from 55 Bombyx strains. Phyllogenetic analysis of gene Ser2 gene suggested that the C allele of now probably extinct European silkmoth hybrids 200 and 300 does not seem to be an ancestral form of Ser2 gene, but it rather seems to be the result of complex secondary rearrangements.
Unemployment of Highlands region
KADLECOVÁ, Veronika
The purpose of this bachelor work is the analysis of the situation on the labour market in the one region in the Czech Republic, concretely in the Highlands region . In my master{\crq}s thesis I focused on problems of protection of consumer in travel agencies related sale tours, offering information, guaranties and at last but not least on situations in the case of bankruptcy. The main regulation in this thesis is the article 159/1999 Coll. and follow norms. One of the main goals of this paper work is the evaluation whether a travel agency as the servant is also servant of consumer defense. The basic element of consumer defense in a traveling agency is an insurance of the traveling agency for the case of bankruptcy according to the article 455/1991 Coll. The next very important step is also providing truthful and completed information towards their clients from the travel agency and their partners. Guarantee of consumer defense in tourism is irreplaceable and it is connected with consumers´ knowledge of rights and obligations.
