Práce se zabývá obchodními spory známými jako "banánové války" mezi Evropskou unií, Spojenými státy a některými latinskoamerickými zeměmi. Na tyto spory je nahlíženo z pohledu změn režimu EU pro dovoz banánů. V této spojitosti se práce také zabývá vztah EU a zemí AKT. V rámci práce je také podroben zkoumání světový trh s banány před a po uzavření těchto sporů na půdě WTO. This theses deal with trade disputes in WTO known as "banana wars" between the European Union, the United States and some Latin American countries. These disputes are viewed in terms of changes to the EU banana import regime. In this context, the work also deals with the relationship of the EU and ACP countries. It also examines the world market in bananas before and after the conclusion of these disputes at the WTO.
