Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou universální švýcarské banky UBS mezi roky 2004 a 2010. Cílem práce je vysvětlit změny v hospodaření banky v kontextu vývoje finančního trhu a poukázat tak na nezdravý vývoj některých bank v tomto období. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol, ve kterých je sledován vývoj banky do současné podoby; popis nejdůležitějších trendů, které ovlivnily její hospodaření; finanční analýza výkazů a závěrem je banka porovnávána se svou konkurencí. The main theme of this Bachelor thesis is an analysis of the swiss universal bank UBS between the years 2004 to 2010. The goal of this work is to explain changes in the business of the bank in the context of the evolution of financial market and to point out the unhealthy development of banks during this period. The work is divided into three chapters, in which the development of UBS is observed to the present form. First chapter is dedicated to the most important trends that influenced its business. The second chapter is dedicated to the analysis of financial reports and in the third chapter the bank is compared with the competition.
