Zákon o odpadech uvádí jako prioritu nakládání s odpady předcházení jejich vzniku. V případech, jako je například právě demoliční činnost, kdy nelze vzniku odpadu předcházet, je žádoucí jeho materiálové využití. Materiálové využití demoličních odpadů vyžaduje použití technického a technologického vybavení v odpovídající úrovni, což je značně finančně nákladné. Pro získání potřebného vybavení je v současnosti možné využít například dotační výzvy, které podporují nové technologie, uplatňující principy oběhového hospodářství a environmentální šetrnost. Pro hodnocení environmentální šetrnosti lze použít způsob porovnání konkrétní techniky s nejlepší dostupnou technikou (BAT, angl. Best Available Techniques). Technologie, které odpovídají hlediskům BAT, zajišťují splnění legislativních i výkonnostních požadavků pro řadu následujících let a zároveň zaručují dostatečnou kapacitu pro využití odpadů za vzniku hodnotných a recyklovatelných produktů. Prevention of waste production is a priority according to a Czech legislation. In cases such as demolition, when the generation of waste cannot be prevented, is desirable to use the material. The material recovery of demolition waste requires technical and technological equipment at the appropriate level, which is very expensive. To obtain the necessary equipment it is possible to use, for example, the grant calls that support new technologies, applying the principles of circular economy and environmental friendliness. For the assessment of environmental friendliness it is possible to compare a particular technique with the best available technique (BAT, Best Available Techniques). Technology, which comply with BAT aspects, ensure compliance with both legislative and performance requirements for a number of years to come while guaranteeing sufficient capacity to recover waste to create valuable and recyclable products.
