Rodinné farmy mají v historii naší společnosti nezastupitelné místo. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak se pozice vybraných rodinných farem měnila ve venkovském prostoru v průběhu historického vývoje. Zároveň měla práce doplnit teoretické poznatky týkající se rodinných farem. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. První část obsahuje literární přehled vztahující se k venkovskému prostoru, zemědělství a rodinným farmám. Empirická část práce je založena na polostrukturovaných rozhovorech s majiteli vybraných rodinných farem. Získané informace jsou doplněny o data z dotazníkového šetření, které probíhalo v rámci prodejních akcí pořádaných rodinnými farmami. Respondenti odpovídali na otázky týkající se jejich vztahu ke konkrétní rodinné farmě a vyjadřovali názor na rodinné farmy obecně. Na základě získaných dat diplomová práce potvrdila stanovené hypotézy, a to, že rodinné farmy mají stabilní pozici ve venkovském prostoru, aktivně se zapojují do ochrany přírody a krajiny a jejich činnost vnímá veřejnost pozitivně. Nebyla potvrzena hypotéza, která předpokládala, že majitelé rodinných farem reflektují zlepšení postavení rodinných farem ve venkovském prostoru v porovnání s minulostí. Family farms have irreplaceable place in the history of our society. The aim of this thesis was to find out how the selected family farms in rural areas have changed their position in the course of historical development. The thesis also supplements the theoretical knowledge of family farms. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part contains a review of literature related to the rural areas, agriculture and family farms. The research is based on interviews with the owners of selected family farms. The acquired information is supplemented with data from the survey, which took place in the context of sales events organized by family farms. Respondents answered questions about their relationship to a particular family farm and expressed opinions on the family farm in general. The thesis confirmed the stated hypotheses that family farms have a stable position in rural areas, are actively involved in the protection of nature and landscape and their activities are positively perceived by the public. It has not confirmed the hypothesis that the owners of family farms reflect the improvement in the status of family farms in rural areas now than in the past.
