Tato práce pojednává o sociálním a ekonomickém rozvoji města Benešov. Cílem práce je analyzovat a zhodnotit stávající stav rozvoje a určit jeho silné a slabé stránky. První část práce je literární rešerše. V této sekci práce vysvětluje nejdůležitější pojmy a oblasti vědění, které se meritorně vztahují k obsahu této práce. Nejprve jsou objasněna širší témata z hlediska obsahového, jako je regionální rozvoj, pojem obec a zákon o obcích. Dále je pojednáváno o socioekonomickém tématu nezaměstnanosti a demografie. V druhé části, praktické, práce je uvedena charakteristikou obce a její historií. Dále je analyzováno obyvatelstvo z demografických hledisek, v časovém úseku a vývoji. Vertikální analýze je podroben rozpočet obce, popisně jsou charakterizovány občanská, sociální a dopravní infrastruktura. Na konec části je zařazen náhled na projekty z portfolia Benešov budoucnosti a manažerská analýza SWOT. This work deals with social and economic development of the municipality Benešov. The objective of the work is to analyse and evaluate current condition of development and to determine strong and weak aspects of it. The first part of the work is literary research. In this section the work explains the most important terms and areas of knowledge that is factually connected to the content of the work. At first, there are explained wide topics connected to the thesis, such as regional development or municipality and the municipal law. Explain of unemployment and demography follows. In the second part, practical part, thesis deals with characteristic of the municipality Benešov and history of Benešov. Next, population is analysed in stretch of time and progress. Municipality budget is vertically analysed. And civil, social and transport infrastructure is described. At the end, there is look at projects from Benešov of the future portfolio and the SWOT analysis.
