Bakalářská práce je případovou studií a zaměřuje se na komunální volby v roce 2014 v městě Sobotka. Zachycuje proces voleb od podání kandidátních listin po ustavující zasedání. V teoretické části práce je v obecné rovině zobrazen systém obecní samosprávy a voleb do zastupitelstev obcí. Praktická část ukazuje město Sobotku z hlediska historie, správního vývoje, a základních geografických a socioekonomických údajů. Hlavní část práce analyzuje podané kandidátní listiny a výsledky voleb. Ty porovnává s výsledky na krajské a národní úrovni. Práce vystihuje povolební vyjednávání a formování orgánů územní samosprávy na ustavujícím zasedání. The Bachelor thesis is a case study of the local elections in 2014 in the town of Sobotka. It captures the election process from the submission of lists of candidates after the constituent session. The theoretical part presents the system of the municipal self-government and elections to the local government considering these generally. The history of Sobotka, the development of its administration as well as its geographical, social and economical characteristics are described in the practical part of the paper. The main part analyses the lists of the candidates as well as the results of the elections. Furthermore, these outputs are compared to the outputs of the regional and national level. Finally, the negotiations after the elections and the formation of the self-government are dealt with.
