Právní postavení zvířete se na základě rekodifikace předešlého občanského zákoníku změnilo. Zákon č. 40/1964 Sb., občanský zákoník neobsahoval bližší definici zvířete, a to bylo tak bráno jako věc v právním slova smyslu. Zákon č. 89/2012 Sb., občanský zákoník již pojem zvíře blíže specifikuje a pohlíží na něj jako na živého tvora nadaného smysly. Tato bakalářská práce představuje komplexní přehled změn v postavení zvířete. Dále se zabývá problematikou trvalého označování psů. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část představuje ucelený souhrn týkající se postavení zvířete v novém občanském zákoníku a jeho porovnání s předchozí právní úpravou, a také souhrn informací týkajících se označování psů čipem a tetováním. Praktická část bakalářské práce, která je v návaznosti na část teoretickou, se na základě vlastního dotazníkového šetření zaměřuje na zjištění povědomí neodborné veřejnosti o postavení zvířete především v NOZ a zmapování počtu čipovaných psů a rozdílného postoje veřejnosti k zavedení celorepublikové povinnosti trvalého označování psů. Legal status of the animal has been changed on the basis of a recodification of the previous Civil Code. The Act no. 40/1964 Coll., The Civil Code does not contain a narrower definition of the animal, and it was thus seen as a thing in the legal sense. The Act no. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code already specifies the animal in detail regarding it as a living being gifted with senses. This thesis presents a comprehensive overview of the changes in the status of the animal. It also deals with the issue of permanent identification for dogs. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part presents a comprehensive summary regarding the status of animals in the new Civil Code and its comparison with the previous legislation, as well as summary information concerning the identification the dogs with chip and tattoo. The practical part, which is in relation to the theoretical part, focuses on own survey on awareness of the general public concerning the status of the animal, especially in connection with the new code and mapping the number of chipped dogs and differences in public attitudes towards the introduction of a nationwide obligation of permanent identification for dogs.
