Práce se zabývá analýzou zvláštní povodně, která je způsobena poškozením hráze, nebo jednotlivých komponent vodního díla Karolinka. Formou rešerše je řešena historie výstavby vodních děl ve světě i na území ČR. Řešena je poruchovost, dále jsou rozebrány škody vzniklé povodní. Řešen je i použitý software pro modelování průchodu povodňových vln, především program HEC-RAS. Modelování probíhalo za pomocí software Arc-GIS, kde došlo k přípravě dat a v programu Hec-RAS, ve kterém bylo prováděno samotné modelování. Jako výstup práce je určení záplavového území, v případě poškození vodního díla. V práci jsou porovnány výsledky při použití dvou druhů vstupních dat. ZABAGED výškopisný grid 10x10 m a Digitální model reliéfu ČR 4. Generace (DMR 4G), který je pořízen za pomocí metody leteckého laserového skenování. The thesis analyzes flood consequences caused by failure of a damaged barrier or a particular component of water impoundment Karolinka. In the first part of the thesis there is described the history of water impoundments construction, both in the world and in The Czech Republic. The failure rate is described, followed by description of damage caused by flood. Finally, the ways of software modeling of flood wave transition are described, whereas special attention is given to program HEC-RAS. The data preprocessing and preparation were realized by ArcGIS software while HEC-RAS program was used for modeling. The specification of the floodplain of dam failure was the outcome of the modeling. The two inputs of data were used for comparison of results -- altimetry grid 10x10 m ZABAGED and Digital Model of relief of CZ of 4th generation (DMR 4G) acquired by aerial Laser Scanning.
