Bakalářská práce se zabývá druhovým zastoupením bifidobakterií v gastrointestinálním traktu různých druhů zvířat, zejména exotických zvířat a hmyzu. Dále je zde popsána úloha probiotických bakterií a vlivu výživy na jejich zastoupení. Cílem praktické části bakalářské práce bylo stanovení bifidobakterií ve vzorcích výkalů získaných od exotických zvířat. Bifidobakterie byly stanoveny pomocí kultivace na selektivním pěstebném médiu. Rodová příslušnost byla ověřena stanovením aktivity specifického enzymu fruktoso-6-fosfát fosfoketolasa. Bifidobakterie byly přítomny pouze ve 2 získaných vzorcích výkalů od exotických zvířat. The main topic of the bachelor thesis is description of occurence of bifidobacteria in the gastrointestinal tract of exotic animals and insect. Afterwards was described a role of probiotic bacteria and influence of nutrition on their occurence. The goal of the practical part of the bachelor thesis was genus-level identification of bifidobacteria in feces samples of exotic animals. After the bacteria cultivation on selective agars, isolates were collected and detection of the enzyme fructose-6-phosphate phosphoketolase were made. Bifidobacteria were found just in two samples from analyzed animals.
