Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou monopolů a firem v dominantním postavení v podmínkách české ekonomiky. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje trh, jeho fungování a zákony, charakterizuje dokonalou a nedokonalou konkurenci, jednotlivé struktury nedokonalé konkurence jsou dále v práci konkrétněji analyzovány. Nejvíce prostoru je věnováno charakteristice monopolu a regulaci firem v monopolním postavení. Praktická část je zaměřena na průzkum současné situace na trhu České republiky, jsou v ní vyznačeny firmy, které bychom mohli považovat za monopoly. Práce zkoumá postavení jednotlivých firem na trhu, analyzuje důvody jejich dominantního tržního postavení, určuje, ke kterému typu monopolu naleží jednotlivé podniky, a odpovídá na otázku škodlivosti těchto monopolů. Poté v práci je představeno dotazníkové šetření, které vyjadřuje názor českého obyvatelstva na problematiku monopolu. This thesis deals with monopolies and companies in a dominant position in the Czech economy. The theoretical part explains the market, its functioning and laws, characterizes the perfect and imperfect competition; the individual structures of imperfect competition are analyzed more specifically. The biggest part is dedicated to the characteristics of the monopoly and regulation of the monopolies. The practical part focuses on analysis of current situation on the Czech market; it marks the companies, which could be considered as monopolies. The work examines the position of individual companies on the market, analyzes the reasons for their dominant market position, determines, what type of monopoly the individual companies belong to, and answers the question of harmfulness of these monopolies. Then the thesis presents a survey, which expresses the opinion of the Czech population on the issue of monopoly.
