The topic of this diploma thesis is called "Possibilities for organic farming development in selected region". It is focused on Znojmo District. In the theoretical part, there basic concepts of examined problematics are defined. Own research is focused on the comparison of the conditions for organic farming in Znojmo District and Hollabrunn District generally and also on example of concrete organic farms. This thesis further evaluates potential of organic farming in Znojmo District on the base of SWOT analysis and proposes the possibilities for its future development there. Solution of the economical problems, the well targeted promotion, changes of the system of the financial support, the labelling emphasizing local origin or the cooperation with neighbouring Austria can be named. In all cases, personal belief in the sense of organic farming, interest and support of the EU, public administration in the CR, specialized organizations but also the individuals are important. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem "Možnosti rozvoje ekologického zemědělství ve vybraném regionu". Je zaměřena na okres Znojmo. V teoretické části vymezuje základní pojmy a problematiku spojenou s tématem. Vlastní výzkum je zaměřen na srovnání podmínek pro ekologické zemědělství v okresech Znojmo a Hollabrunn obecně a také na příkladu konkrétních ekologických farem. Tato práce dále hodnotí potenciál ekologického zemědělství v okrese Znojmo na základě SWOT analýzy a navrhuje možnosti pro jeho budoucí vývoj. Řešení hospodářských problémů, dobře cílená propagace, změny systému finanční podpory, značení s důrazem na lokální původ nebo spolupráce se sousedním Rakouskem patří k opatřením, jež mohou být využity. Ve všech případech je dále potřebné také osobní přesvědčení o smyslu ekologického zemědělství, zájem a podpora EU, veřejné správy v ČR, specializovaných organizací, ale i jednotlivců.
