Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tím, jak je v současném Schengenské informačním systému zajištěna ochrana osobních údajů. Na základě analýzy dokumentů o založení SIS podává práce ucelený přehled o všech vnějších i vnitřních kontrolních mechanismech, jimiž SIS disponuje. Nedílnou součástí práce jsou příklady z praxe, například fungování SIS v Rakousku nebo aktivity Společného kontrolního orgánu, v jehož kompetenci je zajišťovat ochranu osobních údajů a bezpečnost dat v SIS. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol a jejím cílem je posoudit, zda SIS poskytuje takovou ochranu osobních údajů, že není nutné v budoucnu posílit kontrolní mechanismy, které zajišťují bezpečnost dat. This bachelor thesis deals with the protection of personal data in the current Schengen information system. The thesis presents an overview of internal and external controls of the SIS by analysing the foundation documents. Inseparable parts of the thesis are examples from practice, for example the functioning of the SIS in Austria or activities of Joint Supervisory Authority that is responsible for personal data protection and their safety in the SIS. The thesis is divided into five chapters and its aim is to assess, whether the SIS provides such a personal data protection that it is not necessary to reform and upgrade its controls in the future.
