Abstract: Journalists today are faced with an overwhelming abundance of data. To stay relevant to society journalists are learning to separate signal from noise in order to provide valuable insights to their readers. This talk will address questions like: What is the potential of data journalism? Why is it relevant to society? Why is data journalism not just about reporting and news organisations and why should you care about it?
