Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou hodnotového investování (value investing) v podobě, jak je dnes definováno následovníky Grahama a Dodda. Při objasnění teoretických aspektů je věnována zvýšená pozornost především určení vnitřní hodnoty akcie při využití třístupňového přístupu, tedy získáním informací z hodnoty aktiv, ziskového potenciálu a růstu společnosti. Je vysvětlena důležitost strategických úvah, které by následně měly analytikům pomoci k přesnějším závěrům. Analytická část nejprve zkoumá na datech z evropských trhů výnosnost mechanicky sestavených hodnotových a růstových portfolií a přítomnost hodnotové prémie. Následně je provedena analýza výnosnosti skutečných hodnotových portfolií. This diploma thesis covers value investing process defined by adherents of Graham and Dodd. Theoretical aspects of this principle are explained with special focus devoted to determination of intrinsic value using three step process utilizing information from value of assets, earnings power value and value of growth. We pay attention to strategic considerations that should facilitate an analyst to more reliable conclusions. Using European markets data, analytical part of this work examines return of mechanically compiled value and growth portfolios and presence of value premium. We than analyze return of existing value portfolios.
