Politicko-kulturní aspekty hrají v čínské společnosti velmi výraznou roli a jejich vliv se neoddělitelně promítá i do takových oblastí činnosti, jako je pořádání olympijských her. Cílem práce je analyzovat otázku olympijských her pomocí aplikace politicko-kulturních hodnot čínské společnosti. Práce je rozdělena do šesti kapitol. První tři kapitoly jsou věnovány problematice související se samotným udělením pořádání olympijských her a historickým souvislostem. Čtvrtá kapitola pojednává o olympijských maskotech, oficiálním logu a mottu olympijských her, a to konkrétně z hlediska použitých symbolů. Pátá, stěžejní kapitola, je aplikací politicko-kulturních hodnot Číny na zahajovací ceremoniál. V poslední kapitole se rozebírají medailové ambice Číny. Závěr se věnuje shrnutí práce a slouží jako stručný přehled zjištěných faktů. Political and cultural aspects play the key role in Chinese society and that their influence exposes inseparably in such an area as the organisation of the Olympic Games. The aim of the project is to analyse the question of the Olympic Games by means of the application of the political and cultural values of the Chinese society. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first three chapters are paid to the problems which are connected with the grant of the organisation of the Olympics Games and the historical background. The forth chapter deals with the Olympic mascots, the official logo and the motto of the Olympic Games, especially from the symbolical point of view. The fifth, and the most important part, is the application of Chinese political and cultural values on the opening ceremony. The last chapter concerns the medal ambitions of China. The conclusion is a summary of the thesis and serves as a brief review of the ascertained facts.
