Title Case report of physiotherapy care for a patient with the diagnosis of lumboischiadic syndrome with L5 radicular irritation. Objective Acquisition of theoretical knowledge of kinesiology, functional and structural failures of lumbar spine and physiotherapy approaches used in this issue. In a special section has been selected to develop a case study patient during work placements. Summary The general part of bachelors thesis contains a theoretical knowledge of kinesiology lumbar spine, as well as disorders of the axial system and diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to the back pain issue. The practical part includes the case of a patient diagnosed with the syndrome lumboischiadic L5 irritation. Key words Lumboischiadic syndrome, radicular syndrome, back pain, disc herniation, rehabilitation, intervertebral disc.
Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of PVS as a result of disc herniation L4/5
Rousová, Martina ; Žáková, Hana (advisor) ; Karlová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of PVS as a result of disc herniation L4/5 Author: Martina Rousová Aim: Summary of theoretical knowledge, the studies metodology of comprehensive rehabilitation, design and monitoring of therapy, in patient with disc herniation L4 / 5 which is manifested like a radiculopathy of L5 (S1) to the left lower extremity. Methods: This study was a retrieval of a case study in professional practice, held from January 24, 2011 to February 18, 2011 at the University Hospital Vinohrady in Prague. The work is divided into two parts - general and special. The first (general) part deals with the theoretical knowledge of the spine in terms of anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology, includes information about possibilities of physiotherapy practice and testing at a time when surgery is not indicated and conservative treatment is possible. Second (special) case report describes part of physiotherapy treatment of patients with PVS as a result of disc herniation L4 / 5, which is expressed as the L5 (S1) root syndrome on left lower extremity and proposes course of therapy and evaluated its effects. Therapy were doing during the hospitalization tha patient on the neurogical department and the final examination and analysis were done another day...
Effectiveness of conservative treatment of lumbar disc herniation

Bibliographic identification BLÁHOVÁ, Zuzana. Effectiveness of conservative treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 2019. 90 pages. Supervisor: Mgr. Júlia Demeková Abstract This bachelor's thesis deals with a topic of diagnostic and therapy of a lumbar disc herniation. A brief description of anatomy and biomechanics of lumbar spine and intervertebral disc is provided in the theoretical findings outline. Also differential diagnostic and therapy options of this disease are clarified there. The aim of the thesis is to confirm the effectiveness of conservative treatment in terms of physiotherapy intervention, and to compare the effectiveness of two methods - McKenzie (MDT) and Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS). Sixteen patients treated by MDT and four others treated by DNS participated in the experimental part of my thesis. I created a questionnaire in order to obtain data from the patients, in which they filled in intensity of pain on the numerical scale of pain (0-10) at that moment. They also completed the Czech version of the Roland-Morris disability questionnaire, which evaluated their degree of disability at the same time. The questionnaire was filled in twice, at the beginning of the therapy and...
E tiopathogenesis and conservative therapy options for lower extremity radicular syndrome
Polatová, Hana ; Kubíček, Miloslav (advisor) ; Doubková, Lucie (referee)
The thesis is developed in the form of research with a case study of a patient. The thesis consists of a systematic overview of issues connected with radicular syndromes of lower extremities, including anatomical, kinesiological and in particular ethiopathogenetical knowledge. Part of the work describes clinical symptoms of radicular syndromes of lower extremities, its diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Conservative therapy is presented in relation to physiotherapy and its efficiency is evaluated. The findings are applied in an attached case study of a patient). The thesis emphasises specifics of conservative therapy while focusing on empirical findings in the field of rehabilitation and musculoskeletal medicine. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Conservative Therapy Methods of Cervicobrachial Syndrome
Knolová, Kateřina ; Rybářová, Jana (advisor) ; Hamarová, Zuzana (referee)
The theoretical part of my bachelor's thesis is focused on the pathophysiology of functional and structural disorders in the cervical spine from the perspective of kinesiology, biomechanics and developmental kinesiology. Additionally, focuses on diagnostics and therapy methods. The practical part of the thesis comprises three case histories of patients with the same primary diagnosis, but different functional medical findings. The aim of this thesis is to compare different approaches to treating these patients.
