Cost comparison of houses made of classic materials and houses made of natural material
Lošáková, Jana ; Gilar, Ing Přemysl (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on a comparison of construction cost of the house made of classic materials with the equivalent made of natural building materials and consequently on comparison of both construction variants. In order to perform those tasks, the used natural building materials were defined. Furthermore, the specific options of usage of these natural building materials as well as the used composition structures were introduced. The thesis concludes with a price calculation of the constructions made of natural building materials which were not available in the common budgetary software. The appendix of the thesis contains budgets for the first variant, where the house is made of natural building materials, and also for the second variant, where the house is made of classic materials.
Cost of construction of houses of alternative building materials
Lošáková, Jana ; Gilar, Ing Přemysl (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis deals with cost of construction of houses from natural building materials. There are defined natural building materials. There are also introduced their properties and specific options of use of individual materials. Prices and properties of materials are compared with prices and properties of industrially produced materials. This thesis is supposed to show, that there is no need to be affraid of using natural building materials. These materials are fully comparable, ether by price and its features, with materials commonly used.

Landecký, Tomáš ; Burianová, Lenka (referee) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to create the documentation for building construction. Designed building is a mountain guesthouse. Building plat is located in the cadastral Poteč. Project documentation has been prepared in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. The object is designed as one floor building with basement and residential loft and is fitted in sloping terrain. The building is shaped in layout L with the longest plane dimensions 40,11 x 39,05 m. Foundations are designed as strips of plain concrete. The building is designed as a wall support system. Wall system is combined of shuttering blocks filled with concrete, ceramic brick blocks and wood timbering. Roofed building is realized through the roof with a vertical stool. The ceiling above the ground floor is designed as a reinforced concrete slab ceiling and above the first floor as the timber.
Extraction and application of keratin from sheep wool
Jahnová, Kateřina ; Veselá, Mária (referee) ; Kovalčík, Adriána (advisor)
This thesis deals with the isolation of sheep wool keratin for using this protein in composite films. The goal was to compare the yield of alkaline hydrolysis of sheep wool using different concentrations of sodium hydroxide. It was found that the most effective was alkaline hydrolysis using 2wt% sodium hydroxide showing 80 % effectiveness of keratin isolation. Fourier infrared spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry a thermo gravimetric analyses confirmed that the isolated materiál from sheep wool was keratin. The isolated keratin was used as filler for the preparation of polyvinyl alcohol-based composite films. The mechanical properties of keratin/polyvinyl alcohol films showed that keratin played the role as an active filler for polyvinyl alcohol composites.
Využití ovčí vlny v současných podmínkách
Martinková, Petra
This bachelor thesis briefly deals with the history of sheep farming and its importance and use of main and secondary products of sheep breeding. It describes the basic composition of the skin and hair with a link to the characteristic properties of the fleece, such as softness, length, evenness, etc. There are mentioned figures, which relate to the production of wool, both worldwide and in Europe and the Czech Republic, and basic factors affecting production. Further, thesis contains a list of the most common breeds used for processing wool, describes the sheepshearing and sorting. Subsequently describes the implementation of the wool, its use in the textile and construction industries. The last chapter describes the woolwash on the farm of Ing. Šeliga in Vrbětice, who owns the only washing machine of its type in Czech republic.
Protection of the young plantation against the game browsing with use of sheep flees form meat breed and flees breed in area of Železné hory area
Ješátko, Jiří ; Nakládal, Oto (advisor) ; Zeman, Jakub (referee)
This Bachelor paper compares and evaluates the effectiveness of a mechanical protection of forest crops against game browsing by means of using wool from meat-sheep and dairy-sheep breeds. Twenty-one sites were chosen in the Bojanov municipal forest for the use of different types of sheep wool against game browsing. The local growth is dominated by young spruce, with only 10% of other species. Six of these sites were treated with meat-sheep wool, six others with dairy-sheep wool, and the remaining nine sites were treated with both types combined. The primary criterion for evaluation was the damage, through browsing, to the terminal shoot. The extent of the damaged spruce growth in individual localities was regularly monitored in monthly intervals and recorded in a table. Consequently, the data were analyzed and the effectiveness of individual wool types determined through the use of the goodness of fit test. The overall damage caused in the sites treated with meat-sheep and dairy-sheep wool was 1.58 % and 1.77 %, respectively. When applied to the comparison of damage caused in areas treated with meat-sheep and dairy-sheep wool, the goodness of fit test revealed negligible differences, which made it impossible to determine which of the two types of wool is more effective. The quantity of damaged crops in sites treated with both types of wool combined (n=187; chi2=0.37; p=0.53). The quantity of damaged crops in sites treated with meat-sheep wool or dairy-sheep wool only (n=46; chi2=0.15; p=0.69).

Matoušková, Jana
Abstract My bachelor thesis is on the topic "Wool production of sheep". The first part deal with the importace of sheep farming in general. The following charter focused on the history of wool and the other part describes the characteristic of wool, wool composition and its properties. Thesis also contains information on how obtaining and processing wool. Here are the most important factors that influence the production of wool. These factors include, in particular breed, nutrition, sex, age and state of health, but also pregnancy, lactation or devoted to the use of wool, which is for people not only textile signifikance, but lanolin is widely used for example in the pharmaceutical industry, because it is well tolerated by the body or in cosmetics because of its hydrating, antimicrobial and disinfectant abillities.
