Estimation of Migration Parameters of Rocks with Fracture Permeability using Fluorescent Solutions : Research Report considering Work Progress and Results Achieved in 2013 Intermediate Report Covering the I. Phase : bibliography and preparatory works
Lachman, V. ; Kovářová, R. ; Novák, P. ; Rohovec, Jan ; Vašíček, R. ; Frydrych, V. ; Patzelt, Z. ; Šigut, R. ; Vachudová, L. ; Durajová, M. ; Koděrová, K.
The proposed project focusing on the use of fluorescent properties during tracer tests reflects the absecne of tracer substances not modifying the hydrochemical properties of the environment and not being radioactive. A positive result of the proposed research will enable more accurate evalutation of absorption properties of the rock environment in case of leakage of hazardous substances than it is for chemical tracers. Fluorescence salts offer the possibility of continuous monitoring of fluorescence changes without endangering the environment and without negative effects on hydrochemistry. Research will proceed according the fillowith scheme: bibliography-laboratory research-field tests-mathematical modeling. The project proposer has already acquired a patent and design rights in the frame of previous research project concerning the developed facility and technology enabling continuous monitoring and evaluation of fluorescence changes in liquids. The investigation of interaction between fluorescent salts and migratory pproperties of the rock environment will focus on rock with fracture permeability. Further selection of fluorescence salts accomplishing the objectives of the project will be based on the detailed bibliographic study. Particular fluorescent salts will be investigated in laboratory scale on selected rocs. Most promising fluorescence solutions will be consequently used for migration tests in specified rock environment with fracture permeability. The research polygon will be equipped with small-diameter boreholes interconnected by fracture network with two network section - with and without sorption properties. The results of both, laboratory and field tests, will be validated by mathematical models.
Monitoring and auditing in structural funds of EU
Vykouková, Barbora ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Bič, Josef (referee)
This thesis explores the question of the decentralization processes between institutions and other parties involved in auditing and monitoring of the structural funds of the EU. I evaluate the present functional relations of these subjects using document analysis. The thesis follows two levels of analysis, which are compared in the end. The first level concerns the general setting of the systems of relations between union bodies and member states. The second one presents specific situations in the operational program Prague Competitiveness. The thesis disproves the initial hypothesis and claim that the relations on the supranational level tend to be more deconcentrated than decentralized, whereas the system at the national level shows more decentralization characteristics in this specific case.
Monitoring of Social Networks as Part of Marketing Research of Firm
Vašíčková, Petra ; Kincl, Tomáš (advisor) ; Novák, Michal (referee)
The main purpose of this master thesis is to help companies in their work with social networks. The first chapter is a short introduction into social networks and types of their users. The second chapter helps companies to realize how the social networks are connected to marketing activities and what kind of monitoring possibilities they can take advantage of. Then the thesis is focused on what kind of businesses is monitoring applicable for as well as how to correctly determinate goals and monitoring on social networks. These findings are demonstrated on particular company named Foreigners.cz Pilsen.
Theory and practice of cloud computing - analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of transition individuals and businesses to cloud
Holoubek, Jiří ; Svatá, Vlasta (advisor) ; Sigmund, Tomáš (referee)
My thesis concerns with a new phenomenon of the ICT industry -- cloud computing. The thesis is based on the fact that requirements of the customers on the cloud may differ, there is a significant difference between requirements of individuals and institutions (SMB, large companies or public institutions). In this regard, the thesis differentiates the cloud services for private and institutional use. The theoretical part of the thesis concerns with the definition of basic terms and history of cloud computing. Further, I define the cloud distribution model and its segmentation according to the method of deployment. The security represents another important factor, as it is the most important factor for the decision making on the transition to the cloud. Finally, there are other factors such as legal aspects, change of business processes, audit, governance and future development of cloud computing. The practical part concerns with complex analysis of the cloud market offer via cloud providers and its complex monitoring. As already mentioned, I differentiate the market offer for private and institutional use. The analysis of advantages and disadvantages of individual's and company's transition to the cloud and comparison of specific requirements of individuals and companies are another outcomes from this analysis.
Telematic services and usage telematics in insurance
Peterková, Kateřina ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Hendrych, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with a specific area of telematics systems - intelligent transport systems for private vehicles. The main objective is to compare telematics services in the insurance industry in the Czech Republic and in selected foreign countries (UK, USA, Germany and Russia) and propose an extension of these services, which could be implemented in a particular society dedicated to the insurance industry. Proposal to extend the product service from the insurance telematics is drawn through two project plans. The main goal is accomplished through several other sub-objectives, in identifying the theoretical concepts related to these issues and overall definition of telematics for analysis of telematic services. Another sub-goal is to monitor the Czech market providers of navigation systems and vehicle monitoring, comparison and evaluation of the products aimed at this issue. Contribution of the work is mainly mapping market, what products and services are offered. The solution also helps to compare the chosen methodology through the evaluation criteria. Evaluation of this situation will be reflected as a recommendation for a specific provider from the insurance industry. Analysis of products and services is also beneficial for the customer, provides an overview of the products and their evaluation, which basically points out what is appropriate to focus on making these products.
