Sketchup visualization of statrionery robots

Social needs of clients in selected homes for the elderly.
JAKLOVÁ RADOVÁ, Kateřina
My thesis is divided into the theoretical part, where I describe the definition of the term senior, I also focused to old age and aging, I describe changes in old age for example. In the last chapter, I deal with the concept of needs. There are divided social needs in connection with the quality of life in old age, there is listed Maslow's pyramid of needs. The individual needs are described in detail. In the second part of my bachelor's thesis, I present the aim of the thesis, which is to map the fulfilment of social needs of clients in selected homes for the elderly from their perspective. There are also a research questions, how their social needs are met from the point of view of clients of social services for the elderly, how the social needs of clients are met from the point of view of employees and what are the differences between individual homes for the elderly in meeting the social needs of their clients. The third part presents the methodology and technique of data collection, the research set is described here, and the ethical side of the research is also mentioned. In my bachelor's thesis, I tried to find out the fulfilment of social needs of seniors in these homes by using questionnaire methods and interviews with employees from retirement homes (Horní Stropnice retirement home, České Velenice retirement home, Český Krumlov retirement home). The research file formed 12 clients from the Home for the Elderly Horní Stropnice, 12 clients from the Home for the Elderly Česká Velenice and 15 clients from the Home for the Elderly Český Krumlov. This number results from the number of clients who were able to complete the questionnaires. I also interviewed six employees from these three homes for elderly. The results of my research showed that in all homes for the elderly that I examined, the social needs of clients are sufficiently met. Some clients are not satisfied with the accommodation in a multiple room. The answers to the question of whether they feel fear are astonishing. Surprisingly, I have seen more responses, with clients feeling scared and some saying they should. I also found out that most seniors have contact with other clients or at least have this opportunity. Clients stated that they have the opportunity to talk about their problems and afflictions with the employees of homes for the elderly, which I perceive as positive. Clients very often use this option, talk to employees and also confide in them about their problems or worries. It is also gratifying that the family commutes to most clients at least once a week, rarely the family commuting once a month and occasionally once a year. Some questions focused on friendships and relationships between clients. I think it is beneficial for clients to be able to share a room with their partners and to share intimate moments with their partners. With this thesis, I wanted to help the general public to look into the issues of social needs of clients in homes for the elderly and it could serve as a guide for the retirement home, which are trying to meet these needs
Importance of the virtue of prudence in the social work
VALENTOVÁ, Ella
The thesis deals with understanding of the significance of prudence for social work. The first part explains the terms such as prudence, the reasons why it is necessary to stay impartial in your actions but also why it is understood as the link between other virtues. Life of a person is shaped by his decisions and training in the area of prudence helps him make the right decisions. The person who dealt with deeper analysis was Thomas Aquinas, who divided prudence into integral parts which must work together in order to create a perfect act of the given virtue. Thanks to these parts, it is possible to clearly demonstrate their usability in human life. The second part describes the integration of integral parts to social work practice. In this part is also case study which should serve as a specific example of their utilization in practice. In addition, the social worker also gains experience on the basis of experienced situations which serve as a lesson, which may affect his future decisions.

SUCHOMELOVÁ, Jitka
The bachelor thesis deals with home palliative care. The main goals of this work are to ensure the areas of care that nurses focus on in the education of family members of patients in home palliative care. Furthermore, to find out what communication techniques nurses use when communicating with sick and family members in home palliative care. Also point out the share of family members of the patient in the provision of palliative home care. Finally, this thesis find out how family members perceive the nurse when providing home palliative care to the patient. In connection with these goals, research questions were set: 1. What areas of care do nurses focus on in educating family members of patients in home palliative care ?; 2. What communication techniques do nurses use when communicating with patients in home palliative care ?; 3. What communication techniques do nurses use when communicating with the patient's family members in home palliative care ?; 4. The research part of the bachelor thesis was processed by methods of qualitative research. The survey itself was performed using the technique of semi-constructed interview, as well as participatory observation. The analysis of the survey results in answers to the research questions: 1. Nurses focus on the educational skills of the family on the practical skills needed to provide care for a sick client, namely positioning, hygiene care, changing diapers, feeding and medication; 2. When communicating with a patient in home hospice care, nurses use verbal communication techniques through dialogue and monologue. Nurses also use non-verbal communication techniques, while working with a sick client, especially touch through handshake, caresses and elements of basal stimulation; Based on the analysis of the results, it is possible to answer the 3rd research question: Nurses use elements of verbal communication in the form of dialogue and monologue when communicating with family members. From the non-verbal component of communication, nurses most often use touch specifically to shake hands, hugs or caresses; 4. The family participates in the care of the patient, by devoting time and activities such as: positioning, hygienic care, feeding, medication, changing the diaper's panties 24 hours a day; Research question 5 can be answered: Family members perceive nurses caring for their loved ones positively. They find physical and mental support of the nurses for themselves and for the patient. The results of this work can be used by individuals who are interested in this issue as an information stream.

MARŠÍČKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis called " The violence of clients committed on social workers at the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children" is divided into theoretical and empirical part, it deals with the issue of aggressive behaviour on the part of the client to social workers. The theoretical part of the bachlor thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter defines the concept of social-legal protection of children, describes who is a social worker and the education of a social worker. The second chapter defines terms such as violence, aggression, aggressiveness and hostility. The third and fourth chapters are devoted to violence and aggression, their types and forms. The fifth chapter focuses on the causes of aggression. This chapter also discusses the assumptions for aggressive behaviours such as biological, heredity, and environmental impact. The last chapter deals with violence in the workplace and social work with an aggressive client. It also discusses the course and consequences of the attack, as well as prevention and assistance after an attack by an aggressive client. In the empirical part, the main aim is to find out the occurrence of aggressive behaviour of clients attending the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The partial aim is to find out the most frequent manifestations of aggressive behaviour and what are the possibilities of preventive measures against an aggressive client. There have also been three research questions based on the research objective. The first research question is the effort to reveal the ways in which social workers work with aggressive clients, the second research question is what are the most frequent manifestations of aggressive behaviour of clients attending the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children and the third research question asks who most often commits violence against social workers. A qualitative research strategy was established to achieve the research objective of the bachelor thesis. The basic method is the method of questioning, semi-structured technique of interviews . The interviews were conducted with eight social workers working at the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children in Kaplice. A selective selection was used to select communication partners. The interviews took place in the premises of the Authority of Social and Legal Protection of Children, in the office of the given social worker, always with their consent. From the results of the interviews, it is clear that almost all interviewed social workers have met up with the aggressive client at least once for their practise. Most of the workers said that the acts of violence are mainly committed by men. Furthermore, it was found that each worker has an approach to dealing with an aggressive client. In many cases, the answers were the same. The results show that the most frequent manifestations of aggressive behaviour on the part of the client are verbal assaults, in which swearing, threats and the like are primarily used. The bachelor thesis could serve as a background material for social workers and students of social work.
