Vplyv vekovej štruktúry obyvateľstva na spotrebné výdaje v krajinách V4
Snopková, Monika
The bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment of the impact of population age structure on household consumption expenditure. According to Modigliani's economic theory and his co-workers, this influence could be significant. Consumer spending is affected by many more indicators that have a significant impact on it. One of the indicators is the economic level in the form of GDP. Other indicators representing the economic area that could affect consumer spending are interest rate, purchasing power parity and unemployment. From the resulting models, we can see that consumption patterns have a certain impact on the age structure. Modigliani's theory has not been proven to be true only in the Slovak Republic; other countries have shown the influence of age structure.

Wrzecionková, Aneta
Wrzecionková, A. Factors influencing household savings in the chosen countries of EU. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2019. This diploma thesis investigates factors influencing the saving rate in selected countries of the European Union, specifically in countries of the Czech Republic, France and Great Britain. This work deals not only with the identification of factors that may be common to each joint but also with the differences that contribute to differences in saving rates. This diploma thesis will focus more closely on the im-pact of population aging on savings as one of the determinants. By identifying de-terminants, it is then possible to analyse through regression analysis those factors that have a demonstrable effect on the savings rate in a particular country. This survey allows for a cross-country comparison where it is possible to compare indi-vidual factors between countries and to analyse possible matches and differences.

Poncar, Jaroslav ; Hušek, Roman (advisor) ; Formánek, Tomáš (referee)
Consumer function is a standard instrument of quantitative economic analysis to examine the relationship between consumer expenditure and income or other influencing factors such as liquid assets, interest rates or various demographic and social factors. In this thesis are presented the most frequently used methods in econometric analysis of consumption function. Attention is paid to the hypothesis of absolute income, relative income, life cycle, permanent income, rational expectations and consumption function based on the error correction model. Furthermore, the suitability of individual models for the current economic situation in the Czech Republic is assessed. Subsequently an empirical model of consumption function for the Czech Republic is designed and tested. Furthermore, the estimates of each consumption function model for the period before and after economic crisis of 2008-2009 are performed and compared. Finally, a short-term prediction of the consumption of Czech households is made.
