Knowledge Discovery from Time Series
Krutý, Peter ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the field of knowledge discovery from data, specifically from time series. Main objective is to research Python programming language support in this area and then design and implement an application that will allow to demonstrate and compare selected methods. Methods are demonstrated in experiments using appropriate data set. The output of the thesis is a comparison of methods for specific tasks and the application implementing selected methods.

Nguyen, Anh Khoa ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Kropáč, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of indicators in e-commerce Sportobchod.cz with the time series method. The thesis is divided into parts, where the first part contains the theory associated with time series and the second part contains an analysis of real data, results, solutions suggestion and assessment of possible prognosis.
The Study of ZnO Crystal Growth in Supersaturated Alkaline Solution
Bannert, Tomáš ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Chladil, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the study of growth of zinc oxide crystals from supersaturated solutions using a scanning electron microscope and XRD methods. The work is divided into a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part analyses issues related to the principle of operation of electrochemical cells with an emphasis on Ni-Zn batteries and phenomena limiting the life and efficiency of Ni-Zn batteries with a focus on phenomena that affect precipitation processes of zinc oxide crystals. It also analyses and compares the appropriateness of the methods that have been used to study the growth of the prepared zinc oxide crystals. The experimental part describes the preparation of a supersaturated solution, the process of each analysis and its evaluation. The results of each method are compared with the theoretical assumptions and among themselves. The experimental part also contains a chapter dealing with the design of in situ X-ray diffraction analysis methods of the obtained zinc oxide crystals.
Study of decomposition of organic matter in soil using the method of "tea bags"
Lišková, Kateřina ; Sedláček, Petr (referee) ; Enev, Vojtěch (advisor)
The main aim of this master thesis was to introduce an optimal method which could be used for study of a decompostion of an organic matter in a soil. For this purpose was chosen based on a literaly review so-called tea bag method. With regard to the completeness of the work, a physico-chemical characterization of the soil environment and HS isolated from it was also performed. The degraded organic material was then further characterized using thermogravimetric analysis, elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, and the total content of water-extractable polyphenolic substances in the samples was also determined.
Parallelisation of Ultrasound Simulations on Multi-GPU Clusters
Dujíček, Aleš ; Kula, Michal (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
This work is part of the k-Wave project, which is a toolbox designed for time ultrasound simulations in complex and heterogeneous media. The simulation functions are based on the k-space pseudospectral method. The goal of this work is to compute these simulations on graphics cards using local domain decompostion. Thanks to decomposition we could compute these simulations faster, and on larger data grids. The main goal of this work is to achieve efficiency and scalability.
Study of catalytic decomposition of silica
Štubian, Martin ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (referee) ; Bábor, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with catalytic decomposition of silica using electron microscopy and Auger spectroscopy. The thesis is primarily focused on the Au-Si phase, which is created during in the reaction. In the theoretical part, the principle of used methods is described and recherche on the catalytic decomposition of silica is presented. The practical part contains the results of the measurements and their interpretation.
Effect of emergent micropolutants on the denitrification activity of activated sludge
Mosná, Silvia ; Stříteský, Luboš (referee) ; Hrich, Karel (advisor)
Diploma thesis Effect of emergent micropolutants on the denitrification process through activated sludge is focused on three specific substances. The substances under investigation are atrazine, terbutylazine and sulfametaxazole. Atrazine and terbutylazine are pesticides, particularly herbicides. Sulfametaxazole was chosen as a common antibiotic. The thesis is summarized into 10 chapters and conclusion. The work consists essentially of theoretical and practical part. Part of the theoretical part of the thesis is legislation that deals with the matters of the problem with micropolutants. The next chapter is an introduction to the issue, where we want to familiarize the reader with the current situation. There are also chapters on emergent micropolutants, denitrification and investigated substances. If we look at the practical part, there are chapters on sampling, evaluation of BATCH tests and evaluation of inhibition tests. There are also chapters on BATCH tests and respiratory inhibition test, which describe procedures of how we performed this test. Laboratory test reports are included in the Annex.
Use of Statistical Methods for Data Processing
Havel, Tomáš ; Michalcová, Jitka (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
This master’s thesis engages in elaborating the chosen ratio indicators of the two competing companies, elaborating time series out of these indicators and their equation. The prognosis of the future development will be determined based on these indicators and the suggestions will be formulated for eventual issues.
Creating Internal Database by Using SQL Server
Košinová, Kateřina ; Marek, Tom (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the design and creation of internal SQL database to improve the operation of company Service Baur, s. r. o. In the first part of this work are defined the oretical foundations that are necessary for designing internal database. The second part analyzes the current state the company and the third part focuses on the design solutions and service benefits for company Servis Baur, s. r. o.
Electrical motors parameters identification using subspace based methods
Jenča, Pavol ; Veselý, Ivo (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
The electrical motors parameters identification is solved in this master’s thesis using subspace based methods. Electrical motors are simulated in Matlab/Simulink interactive environment, specifically permanent magnet DC motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor. Identification is developed in Matlab interactive environment. Different types of subspace algorithms are used for the estimation of parameters. Results of subspace parameters estimation are compared with least squares parameters estimation. The thesis describes subspace method, types of subspace algorithms, used electrical motors, nonlinear approach of identification and comparation of parameters identification.
