Cellular Modem Emulator for Accelerating the Development of Embedded Devices
Sechra, Marek ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The task of this work is to acquaint readers with the diversity of the market and the support of individual modems for AT commands. Get acquainted with other networks and related protocols and introduce readers to the issue of AT commands. Design and implement a modem emulator that will be easily extensible. The run of the emulator is recorded in the terminal console. The emulator is implemented in Python.
Mobile internet principles
Jehličková, Lenka ; Fencl, Josef (referee) ; Hanus, Stanislav (advisor)
Thesis concerns with mobile communications theory with focus on data transfer. In the introduction the history, the origin and individual mobile systems generations are described. It is followed by detailed description of second, third and fourth generation mobile systems. Frequency band allocation, signal processing, the system architecture itself, security management and basic features are also discussed. The GSM system is described together with individual data transmission types based on circuit switching – CSD and HSCSD and packet switching – GPRS and EDGE. For UMTS, FDD and TDD modes are listed as well as changes in individual releases, corresponding technologies and provided services. Next, there is the description of LTE and WiMAX systems, together with their improvements whose are part of the fourth generation of mobile systems. Last of the described systems is the still work in progress HAPS, also known as the system of stratospheric platforms. In the end important parameters are summarized and systems are compared with each other.
Estimating mobile coverage by means of regression
Walach, Dominik ; Raida, Václav (referee) ; Blumenstein, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the use of freely available data sets to estimate the signal strength in localities where measurements are missing. This work aimed to use interpolation and regression methods to estimate as accurately as possible the possible signal coverage in a given locality. First, data sets were analyzed, based on results, a test model for various methods has been created. The methods with the best results have been implemented on real data sets containing thousands of measurements. At the end of the work, accurate estimates are commented and circumstances to reduce the deviation of the measured and calculated values are specified.
Communication Network for a Swarm of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Rajm, Jan ; Janoušek, Jiří
This paper deals with the creation of a wireless network for a swarm of unmanned aerial vehicles which enables high enough data throughput for transition of telemetric and application data between unmanned aerial vehicles and ground control station and also enables communication at a greate distance. Even when unmanned aerial vehicles are beyond visual line of sight.

Prototype of Intrusion Solution for Mobile Networks
Tie zahrňujú zarušenie spojenia, Zníženie kvality služieb, Denial of Service, Sledovanie polohy, IMSI catcher.
Model of a shared transmission channel for future wireless communication systems
Sedláček, David ; Polák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
The main objective of the thesis was to study modern and upcoming wireless systems and their coexistence in a shared transmission channel. Based on the knowledge gained, the design of a simplified transmission channel was implemented. The model was created in Matlab using several available extensions. The correctness of the model was verified at the end by laboratory measurements.
Measuring station with data transmission via 4G network
Pernica, Michal ; Bastl, Michal (referee) ; Najman, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is concerned with data transfer via 4G network from a measuring station to a web server. The first part presents the possibilities of transmission via 4G network using the SIMCom 7600E-H module. The ways how to assemble the measuring station or how to make a web server for saving and displaying the measured data are introduced. In the second part, the individual types of transmission are tested and live data transmission and interval data transmission is also implemented based on the results from the first part. The thesis also notes the procedure for setting up a server and a web application for displaying data or assembling and programming a measuring station.
Implementation of IoT communication technologies in NS-3 simulation tool
Rehberger, Marek ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals in its theoretical part with LPWA communication technologies in the licensed frequency spectrum, specific technologies LTE Cat-M1 and NB-IoT. The theoretical part summarizes the terms concerning to LPWAN (Low Power Wide Area Network), licensed and unlicensed technologies, SmartGrids, NB-IoT and LTE Cat-M1. The use of LPWA technologies in the field of SmartGrids is described and the idea of Smart Metering in buildings is used in the work. Subsequently, in the practical part for the LTE Cat-M1 technology, the implementation of communication scenarios for data transmission within SmartGrids is performed using the tools Network Simulator 3 (NS-3) and the LENA module. The results of the simulations are clearly processed in the form of graphs and tables.
