Payment and security function of bills of exchange and cheques

A bill of Exchange was originally used as payment instrument. Recently, it is mostly used as securing instrument. This purpose was mainly evolved by legal practice and its legislation could be problematic and unclear for laymen. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze a bill of exchange as a securing instrument. Further attention is paid to the function of payment. However, the bill of exchange and check are both regulated in identical law, so to some of its institutes I also describe a checks. The main attention of my thesis is devoted to the securing purpose of the bill of exchange. There I describe the specifics of this instrument in the comparison of other civil securing instruments. Due to this contrast, it can be said, that the bill of exchange gives the creditor some significant advantage on one hand, but finds some insuperable limits on the other hand. My thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes the historical development of bills of exchange and check, and the circumstances under which these institutions were created. The second chapter deals with the exchange and check law, their rules, the systematic inclusion of this branch of law and the basic peculiarities are defined. This bachelor work is devoted to the stock markets in the Czech Republic. The first part focuses on the definition of basic theoretical concepts of the stock market. It contains the definition of securities, such as stocks, bonds, bills and checks. Characterized by stock exchanges and stock market players. Systematise stock exchanges according to their focus. Defines the types of exchange trading systems. Practical part characterizes the basic features of the Prague Stock Exchange, a. s. and the RM-SYSTEM Czech Stock Exchange and is incorporated herein development of selected shares on these exchanges.
Comparison of conditions of export financing between the Czech Republic and a selected countrie on the example of project financing

The aim of the thesis is to compare the conditions and procedures for granting export project financing between the Czech Republic and Sweden. The theoretical part includes three chapters. In the first chapter, I explain the nature and structure of the project finance. In the second chapter, I analyze the institutions providing export financing in the Czech Republic and their financial products that can be applied in this case. In the third chapter, I analogously analyze the system of export financing in Sweden. In the practical part, I show on the imaginary business case how the export project finance is realized by Czech export credit institution (CEB) on one side and the Swedish export credit institution(SEK) on the other. In conclusion, I summarize the similarities and differences resulted from the performed comparison.
Selected payment instruments in Kazakhstan

The topic of my bachelor's thesis describes selected payment instruments Kazakhstan. In my work I focus on the most detailed description of the four instruments used, their characteristics and special features. Securing payment system is one of the most important national economic tasks of banks in a market economy. System of payments can be subdivide in terms of forms of payment for cash and non-cash. Payment instruments are the main implementing instrument of non-cash payments between various financial market. In recent years, using various instruments is very different from each other - some used more than others. Eg. payment card, which is one of the modern payment instruments has seen a dynamic development in recent years.
Cheque in the world of modern payment instruments offered by Czech banks

The subject of the bachelor thesis is a cheque and its place in the world of modern payment instruments which are offered by Czech banks. The work is successively concerned with the creation and usage of cheques, it defines international and domestic legal form of this instrument and mentions its general characteristics. The following chapter mentions data concerning development and contemporary usage of cheques in the states of the European Union. The last chapter deals with the usage of cheques in the Czech Republic. It deals with the development of usage of cheques in system of payment and maps the present offer of "cheque services" of the selected banks.

ŠEK a jeho postavení v současném platebním styku

Bakalářská práce se zabývá platebním instrumentem - šekem. První část předkládá základní informace o šeku, tzn. oblasti šekových zákonů, šek v českých zákonech, účastníky šekových vztahů, operace realizované se šeky a druhy šeků. Druhá část je podrobněji zaměřena na ty země, ve kterých je šek stále hojně využíván a je zde provedena základní komparační analýza šeku s dalšími platebními instrumenty. Poslední část je věnována šeku v České republice. Jsou zde vysvětleny snahy o rozšíření používání šeku v platebním styku v ČR, srovnání šeku s dalšími platebními prostředky a nabízené šekové služby několika bank. V příloze jsou uvedeny ukázky některých šeků.
