Reintegration of Former Drug Abusers in Society

The bachelor thesis deals with the experience of former substance users with reintegration into society after leaving a therapeutic community or psychiatric hospital. The aim of the thesis is to find out the application in the personal lives of former users of addictive substances after leaving a treatment centre. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - the theoretical one and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the most important terms associated with the bachelor thesis. In the initial part, there are described individual addictive substances, substance abuse, and options of the treatment of substance addiction. The next part focuses on reintegration and its basic terms. The final part deals with aftercare. The practical part concentrates on the survey for which were chosen two research questions dealing with the way of integration of former users of addictive substances into society and with one of the greatest obstacles that former substance users face during the reintegration. For getting the results was chosen a qualitative survey and the interview method, concretely a method of the semi-structured interview. The examined sample consisted of eleven informants who were chosen by the self-selection and the snowball sampling. Obtained data were subsequently analysed via the grounded theory method. The results of the survey revealed that the best means for the successful reintegration is the focus on aftercare and, ideally, stay in the aftercare centre. Having secured employment, quality family background, and financial security is necessary for easier maintenance of abstinence. The bachelor thesis may serve as a manual for various facilities working with users of addictive substances, such as therapeutic communities, psychiatric hospitals, and aftercare centres.

Compensatory aids for hearing impaired children in the Hradec Králové region

Charles University, Pastoral and Social Work Department. Annotation This bachelor thesis deals with compensatory aids for children with hearing impairment focusing on the Královéhradecký Region. The theoretical part describes the anatomy of the ear, the function and importance of hearing, the hearing impairment, breakdown of defects and hearing disorders are also mapped in this part and how to compensate for these defects. At the end of the theoretical part, the attention is focused on the integration of hearing impaired children into society, the possibilities of communication with them, the education of these children and the services they can use. In the empirical part, we will find out which compensatory aids are most often used by children with hearing impairment in the Královéhradecký Region and how they manage to integrate into society or how they make their life easier. The economics and development of faculty hospitals

This thesis focuses on the problems of the healthcare system of the Czech Republic, namely the problem of faculty hospitals. Faculty hospitals are contribution organizations, and thus aren't focused on financial gain. Among their goals is having an equilibrated economy.
The main focus of this thesis is the breakdown of the economy and development of a chosen faculty hospital, specifically the Faculty Hospital Kralovske Vinohrady.
The thesis is divided into several parts. The first describes the goal of this thesis, and the general methodology of the financial analysis.
The second part of this thesis describes the legislative ramifications of the healthcare system of the Czech Republic, the methods of the financing of its healthcare equipment, a comparison with selected faculty hospitals, and the investment growth in the Faculty Hospital of Kralovske Vinohrady.
In this part we will také a closer look at the Traumacentrum project, which the previous management of this hospital meant to put into effect. This project required the building of a whole new wing, which would also have heightened the effectiveness of the various individual parts of this hospital. The project has not been realized yet due to lack of suitable funds.
The last part of this thesis focuses on the analytical breakdown of this hospital, using risk analysis, SWOT analysis, and its own financial analysis. From these results a set of measures was gathered, the application of which could improve the state of the healthcare

Public Official´s Remuneration

This work deals with the system of employee's remuneration in the public administration. At first it describes theoretically the historical development of the public administration at the area of the Czech republic up to the present. Then there is the salary's system described, its rules, the salary's creation process and its particular items. The analytic part, which is aimed to the main problems of this system as bureaucracy, corruption and connection of the career system, proceeds from this theoretical base. It also works with the public administration employee's opinion. There is the possible solution of given problems outlined at the end of this work.
