The last part is outlined the future development for the application of fiber composites in car construction
Casting technology in automotive industry
Andrle, Jiří ; Valášek, Petr (advisor) ; Hrabě, Petr (referee)
The goal of this work is to analyse materials and technologies used in casting process in the automotive industry. The work is divided into three main parts. The first part describes materials udes for castings. There are described ferrous materials - cast iron and tempered iron, and lightweight alloys that are increasingly used - aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloys. The next section describes casting technologies used in the manufacturing process of the car, including the innovative methods that are being implemented to automobile manufacturing process. The last part is dedicated to the development and innovation of casting technology. In particular, the simulation of casting process using computer programs that are capable of realistically simulating the course of casting. These methods are described in terms of their practical use in the manufacture of high quality castings further used in the automotive industry.
Use of composite materials in automotive industry
Bárta, Miroslav ; Müller, Miroslav (advisor) ; Valášek, Petr (referee)
This work deals with the use of composite materials in the automotive industry. The first part is a familiar historical overview of the evolution of materials explaining the definition of terms, the basic distribution of composite materials and processing methods and technology composite production. The second part focuses on the application of composite materials in the automotive industry at the moment.
Connecting methods used in automotive industry
Gregora, David ; Müller, Miroslav (advisor) ; Valášek, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on analyzing methods of joining sheets in the automotive industry. In the thesis are theoretically analyzed and described the various methods that are most often used for connecting plates in the automotive industry. It stated their principles, advantages and disadvantages. Selected methods are welding, soldering, adhesive bonding, riveting and clinching. This thesis works with methods that are used in the automotive industry for a long time, but also methods that are relatively new and brings to the production benefits that are mainly increasing productivity and lowering production costs and the weight of the entire body.
Material utilization of secondary raw materials
Šolar, Matěj ; Valášek, Petr (advisor) ; Brožek, Milan (referee)
Purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to summarize actual information in area of material utilization of secondary raw materials. With focus on waste treatment from metals, plastic and glass. There are summarized technological trends in waste treatment. Also there is briefly introduced issue of waste management in the Czech republic. Material discussed in this work has their short description at the beginning of chapters: Metals, Polymers, Glass. Information about every concrete type of waste mentioned in this work is in subchapters. It is followed by concrete examples of technologies, which are currently considered as attractive. Work is replenished by images which support better understanding and imagination of issues.
Proposal of parts manufacturing for air industry
Koula, Vojtěch ; Valášek, Petr (advisor) ; Brožek, Milan (referee)
The aim of the thesis is making the design process for the production of parts for the aerospace industry by bending. Forming technology is the perspective of manufacturing technology, what has frequent use in the aerospace industry. Part of this thesis is the experimental finding of maximum possible ram speed on press brake machine during bending of small radius to prevent cracking. Bending was performed on the press brake and possible cracks of the material were check by capillary fluorescence testing. These knowledge were applied in the design process for the manufacturing of parts and there was provided economic evaluation.
Mechanical properties of biocomposites
Janošík, Petr ; Valášek, Petr (advisor) ; Müller, Miroslav (referee)
Goal of this diploma thesis was to describe mechanical properties of epoxy resins containing organical fibers and to experimentally evaluate the effect of the fiber length with various concentrations on final mechanical property of composit material. First part of the diploma thesis is dedicated to literature review which describes general properties of fiber composites, materials which they are made of, and mechanical trials. In chapter called Methodics, materials used for experimental research are described. Process of sample preparation and mechanical trials, which were used for the test, are also described there. Last part of the diploma thesis is dedicated to evaluation of results of executed mechanical trials on composites with fiber support of various lengths and concentrations
Properties of adhesive bonds filled with microparticle fillers
Habrová, Karolína ; Valášek, Petr (advisor) ; Müller, Miroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with the measuring of adhesive and cohesive characteristics of composite systems filled with microparticles of glass powder. The theoretical part describes in detail composites from their historical development to the present, also their characteristics, general properties, distribution and types of fibers and matrices. Emphasis is placed on composites filled with particulate filler and current researches in the field of composites with glass filler. Furthermore, the adhesion and cohesion of filled systems is described. The experimental part of this thesis includes a methodology, which describes in detail the used materials, methods of preparation of mechanical testing and statistical analysis. The results of mechanical tests for all three composite mixtures and evaluation of cost savings are appended to this thesis.
Coaching and its contribution to corporate management in the Czech Republic
Bílý, Jan ; Campbell, Jan (advisor) ; Valášek, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on approach of Czech corporate management to coaching. The coaching and mentoring of people has become a trending topic lately. Coaching allows us not only to discover a potential within ourselves but also to release it fully. On the basis of qualitative research, the thesis analyses the benefits of coaching for the coached person, from the point of view of the coach, the ordering party and of the coached person him/herself using the self-assessing scales. According to the results, the most important asset for the coached person is higher autonomy and responsibility for one's work. From the manager's point of view, coaching helps promoting better communication, openness and also a possibility to praise and acknowledge employees and subordinates in a better way. The final part of the thesis evaluates the fulfillment of the laid down objectives.
Innovation of planning process and control of JCL scripts on mainframe system project
Valášek, Petr ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Koblížek, Aleš (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to create, for a particular company, an innovative approach for the ongoing process of planning and verification of JCL scripts integrated in the system mainframe. These processes are currently inefficient and must be improved. During the planning process of JCL scripts an internal application will be created that increases team effectiveness and simplifies the preparation of procurement reports. With the internal application the company will also need a system upgrade of the mainframe Control-M from BMC software company, which will significantly improve the process of verifying JCL scripts. This thesis includes a functional application with the source code.
