The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive and its application to the capital market of the Czech Republic

Application of MiFID on the czech capital market In this work we describe and analyze evolution of Czech capital market and crucial changes which are caused by implementation of Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) to the Czech legal system. We use the interdisciplinary (legal and economic) approach when studying this subject. Firstly, we discuss the relation and difference between definitions "capital market" and "financial market". The interest is also focused on use of this terms in legal system. Then we describe basic changes in the historical evolution of the Czech capital market. In this section, we focuse our interest on the institutions which represent supervisory authority of the capital market. This historical chapter is structured on three basic periods: evolution of the capital market from its beginnig to the restauration in 1993, period of coupon privatization and the period of creation of diferent institutions which supervisored the Czech capital market. Further, the development of Czech legal system concerning the capital market is described. This section is divided in two separate parts - evolution of Czech and EC law. English Title & Summary Marketing And Its Role In Current Economy In initial part of this diploma work, its author tries to define marketing in its actual meaning, to desribe marketing trends from the historical and contemporary view and to analyze marketing activities in relation to marketing mix. He emphasises the boundary of these activities to their economical consequences, revealing these consequences and their analysis on theree levels - single bussines, regionaly and in scale of international economy. This work evaluates all ascpect of marketign mix on each level, aimed to map single marketing activities, which can have potentional influence for the economic of a bussines, in region or in the global scale, whether in a good or a bad way. However, target here is not to make some complete list of them, but to mark and analyse the actions and marketing activities, which bring the most noticable economical consequences. Legalisation of the proceeds of crime

79 Summary Nobody knows how much money is laundered every year. International Monetary Fund has stated, that the extent of money laundering in the world could be somewhere between two and five percent of the world's gross domestic product. It means that organised crime generates profit between 590 billion and 1.5 trillion USD per year. Laundering of the proceeds of crime is an international problem. Money launderers frequently and intentionally run illegal operations involving territory of two or more countries and use international funds or value transfers as part of Money Laundering process. They have developed a lot of methods how to transform criminal proceeds into legal funds and most of them include abuse of international financial system. Common element of these operations is transnational movement of criminal proceeds. These funds are subsequently used for further criminal activities, e.g. drug trafficking, corruption, economic offences etc. Therefore international combat against criminal societies must involve all countries in the world.
