Rational reflection of faith in theology
Koch, Rudolf ; Salvet, Ondřej (advisor) ; Svoboda, David (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with theological reflection on the doctrine of the knowledge of the Christian faith. True knowledge is possible only with an understanding of the philosophical reason with which faith is interrelated. Reasonable thinking has its origins in the Greco-Roman wisdom of antiquity. The aim of the thesis is to describe theological teachings that deal with the search for truth from the time of ancient philosophy. The ancient books of the Old Testament describe, in the form of a distinction, the unity between the knowledge of faith and the intellectual knowledge of human truth. The fullness of truth has been perfected in the good news of Jesus and is accessible only in the light of faith. The main sources of faith are the testimonies of early christianity and the origin of the formulation of the confession of faith. The encyclical Fides et ratio, which is the primary source of this work, combines philosophy with theology. The study of philosophy is an essential part of theology and together they support the search for truth. Today's theological reflection emphasizes important aspects in matters of understanding the nature of man and the meaning of life. This truth is available only in the search for God, which is the culmination of every theological reflection. Keywords Word,...
Apartment building
Petrák, Matěj ; Svoboda, David (referee) ; Čuprová, Danuše (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis addresses the construction of a four-story residential building. It focuses on selected parts of the project documentation for the construction process. The building is located in the Slatina district of Brno. The site is planned for four such residential buildings, but this thesis is specifically focused on only one of them. The capacity of the building is designed for 36 people distributed among 13 apartments. Each residential unit is assigned one cellar compartment located in the basement part of the building. There are apartments of sizes 2+kk, totaling 5 units, as well as 3+1 apartments, totaling 6 units. In the top above-ground floor, there are two 4+1 apartments with terraces. The stairwell area includes an elevator shaft with an elevator. The foundation is constructed on concrete strips. The vertical structures are made of ceramic blocks, and the horizontal structures are monolithic reinforced concrete. The building is insulated with mineral wool using the ETICS system. The roofing consists of a single-layer flat roof.

On the 1st floor, the apartment building is equipped with a stroller room with a bicycle storage area, a cleaning room, a room for house maintenance, and 4 residential units. The 2nd and 3rd floors, which are identical, contain 5 residential units. In the last above-ground floor, i.e., the 4th floor, there are 3 residential units, with 2 of them having their own terraces as part of the apartment. There are a total of 17 residential units in the building. The building is topped with a flat single-ply roof. The building is founded on concrete strips. This abstract summarizes the main points of the bachelor's thesis. The aim was to create a comprehensive design for a new apartment building, with a focus on incorporating architectural, urbanistic, and technical requirements in accordance with current legislation and technical standards. The project documentation includes detailed drawings, structural composition proposals, product listings, and solutions regarding acoustics, daylighting, and thermal engineering. The documentation also provides information about the layout of individual residential units, common areas of the building, technical facilities, and the concept of ventilation, heating, and hot water supply. The goal was to create a high-quality and sustainable living environment. The surrounding buildings consist of family houses or apartment buildings with flat roofs, with a maximum height of 12 meters from the adjacent terrain. The new construction has been designed taking this into account. The building is partially basement with stepped foundation structures, comprising one underground level and three above-ground levels. It is situated on its own plot of land. The roof is a flat non-accesible roof (intended only for inspections and maintenance purposes), and the ceilings are made of monolithic reinforced concrete. The vertical load-bearing structures are made of therm-type ceramic blocks. The building insulation is implemented using an External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS). Additionally, parking spaces for the residents are provided on the plot of land.

It is a four-story residential building with a basement, accommodating a total of seven housing units. The structural system of the building is designed using Therm blocks with a certified thermal insulation system. The Therm blocks form the internal load-bearing walls of the above-ground floors as well as the basement of the building. The perimeter walls of the basement floor are made of plain vibrated concrete blocks. The residential building is roofed with a flat single-ply extensive green roof, which is prepared for the installation of photovoltaic panels to utilize alternative energy sources. The building is founded on foundation strips, and the floor structures are designed as monolithic reinforced concrete slab floors.
