Benefits of project management

The main goal of the diploma thesis is to analyze whether a selected company uses efficient project management on a specific project and, if necessary, to propose changes in the project management of the selected project that would have a positive impact on its results. Based on the evaluated benefits of the proposed changes, establish recommendations summarizing further steps in improving project management in the company. The output of the analytical part are selected shortcomings (deviations from the PRINCE2 methodology), which had a negative impact on the objectives and financial results of the project. The following chapter deals with the proposal of changes in accordance with the PRINCE2 medotics, which should replace the selected shortcomings and the evaluation of the benefits of these changes. In the end, a recommendation for the company is set and the limitations of the research are listed.

Syntactic and semantic aspects of a ditransitive construction with the verb "lend" and an eventive object

The present paper is concerned with the ditransitive verb lend and its components. Instances of lend occurring with an eventive object are the main focus. The theoretical part includes a general characteristic of ditransitive verbs - the approach to which significantly varies -, the realizations of their components and their passive counterparts along with the semantic roles of the components. Greater focus is then given to the classification of the eventive object, which accompanies a semantically general verb and in such constructions carries the meaning. The aim of the work is to determine under what circumstances can the indirect or prepositional object be omitted and in events when both objects are present their order and the factors that influence it. The assumption is that the pattern SVOiOd will be prevalent as according to Quirk et al. (1985) this is the only possible ordering in the eventive object constructions. The empirical section of the work contains one hundred examples of the verb lend accompanied by an eventive object extracted from the British National Corpus. These examples demonstrate the most frequent nouns occurring in the eventive object position with the light verb lend, the actual ordering present in such constructions and to what degree it corresponds to theoretical foundations....

An Environment for the game Atari-go

These days Go game and its simpler variant game Atari Go means a major challenge for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Go game represents yet unresolved question in the programming of Artificial Intelligence that would have been in the game stronger than man. This Bachelor Thesis aims to create a computer environment to play Atari Go on small boards in dimension to 9 x 9 intersections. The objective of this program is to introduce users to Atari Go game and teach them how to play this game. Another aim of this program is to motivate users to switch from Atari Go game to a more difficult variant Go game. The target group of users are those users who have not played this game, but they want to learn the joy of Atari Go. Program will serve equally well to users who have tried Atari Go game and would like to get practice in the game or find out more information about the Go game.

WiFi Direct Technology and its practical use

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the possibilities of practical usage of Wi-Fi Direct technology based on experimental verification which will be carried out using two mobile devices. Basic analysis of network properties will be performed on these two devices and the measured results will be compared with the theoretical values of Ad-hoc and BlueTooth technologies. We will determine where this new technology could be used in practice based on this comparison.

Finanční analýza společnosti MEMSEP, s.r.o.

V této práci je představena metodika pro posouzení finančního zdraví podniku a určení jeho tržní hodnoty. Postupně byla představena horizontální a vertikální analýza účetních výkazů. Následně byla provedena komplexní poměrová analýza, doplněná o pyramidový rozklad ROA. Dále bylo posouzeno zdraví společnosti pomocí Altmanových modelů, IN indexů a Kralickova rychlého testu. V závěru práce je představena metodika pro oceňování podniků. Vzhledem k charakteristikám hodnocené firmy byly upřednostněny výnosové metody ocenění, zvláště pak DCF modely včetně DCF modelu ve variantě EVA. Na závěr jsou jednotlivé výsledky porovnány. Práce je doplněna i o analýzu konkurenčního prostředí prostřednictvím SWOT analýzy, Porterova modelu pěti sil a diagramu konkurenční síly. Zdrojová data byla získána z účetních uzávěrek vybraných společností.
