Design of a planetary gearbox of an RC model produced by the 3D printing
Rada, Jan ; Rekem, Jakub (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a planetary gearbox produced by 3D printing. The first part is focused on research in the field of current technologies and 3D printing materials. The production process for FDM technology and the theory of planetary gears are described here. The second part is focused on the design of the gearbox to meet the input parameters so it could be produced by 3D printing. The design process from the calculation through modelling to the actual printing of the gearbox is described here.
Design of a mattrack unit of an RC model produced by the 3D printing
Mašek, Dominik ; Rekem, Jakub (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor thesis is 3D print and design of mattrack unit for the RC off-road car. In the first part there are description of 3D print technologies, materials for 3D print and evaluation which of this method is suitable for hobby printers. The second part is focused on technical solution and the design of mattrack unit, most of unit parts are made by 3D print. First step was choosing of type of construction which should be inspiration for this mattrack unit. It was necessary to choose suitable tolerance of holes and pins to get required deposition of printed parts. There was problem with an unstrung belt when bodies of guiding wheels rotated. This problem was solved by the mechanical limitation of rotate. The construction is described by the technical documentation which was created by the 3D model.
Vehicles for driving schools
Rajnštajn, Jakub ; Rekem, Jakub (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on a description of car adaptations made for driving school needs and the suggestion of another possible upgrades. In the first part, there is described the evolution of common automobiles, especially in spheres important for mentioned potential upgrades. That means the pedal system and active safety technologies above all. Then, there is made a summary of nowadays adaptations, which allow the instructor to control the vehicle during the driving lesson, especially the second pedal controls. Thereafter, there are suggestions of upgrades, which could come with increasing the safety level of the driving lessons. It means especially the possibility to release the brake force from the instructor’s seat, the evolution of additional function of infotainment system and the usage of assistance systems.
Design of the Tractor's Cabin Suspension
Rekem, Jakub ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
Diploma thesis is devoted to tractor cabin's suspension. First part of the work consists of the overview of used suspension designs and their various modifications. Next, law requirements for roll-over protective structure are described. Subsequently, the suspension design for small-sized tractor is explored. Law compliance is revised via ROPS procedure simulation using finite element method. In the last part of the work, virtual prototype of agricultural tractor in Multi-body environment is built and it is used for studying the dynamic characteristics of proposed cabin suspension design.
Design of Reversing Gearbox for Historic Railway Draisine
Rekem, Jakub ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with the design of the reversing gearbox for the historic railway draisine. First part of the work is devoted to the overview of power units of railway draisines and technical solutions used in their design. The next part contains the description of the original reversing gearbox. The rest of the work explores the design of the gearbox itself.
Infrastructure for electric buses
Adamec, Matěj ; Rekem, Jakub (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the charging infrastructure of electric buses from the point of view of dynamically charged buses, trolleybuses, statically charged battery electric buses and their combination in the form of partial buses. In the case of the trolleybus infrastructure, the method of powering the contact wire traction, the properties of the contact wire are described, and the operation of partial buses are not omitted. For the charging infrastructure of battery buses, a detailed evaluation of the methods of connection to the charging station, charging modes and an overview of offered charging solutions from selected companies is performed. Considerable attention is paid to the possibilities of standardization and automation of connections to charging stations. In the final chapter, an approximate calculation of the optimal capacity of the battery storage for the selected line and the subsequent evaluation of the charging solution of the operating electric buses on this line is performed.
Design of a winch for a manual crane
Kolínek, Jakub ; Czakó, Alexander (referee) ; Rekem, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the construction of the winding mechanism of the historical hand-operated crane JŽ 600, not only covering the construction itself, but also giving a general overview of the hand-operated cranes used today. The work further addresses the description of the individual components of the hand-operated crane, their function and the requirements placed on them. Many concepts contributed to the emergence of the final design, which was gradually modified to be functional, meet all safety requirements based on the standards and not be unnecessarily complicated. For the strength verification of components with complex shape the finite element method was used. The result of this work is a functional design of the winding mechanism used for the reconstruction of the incomplete crane JŽ600.
Design of a hand-lever draisine
Uhrovič, Jakub ; Otipka, Václav (referee) ; Rekem, Jakub (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design and construction of a hand lever draisine, which, upon completion, is intended to serve as a tourist attraction at the KŽM Vrútky museum in Martin, Slovakia. The first part of the thesis gives brief information about the history and purpose of hand lever draisines and describes their construction. The second part of the thesis focuses on the actual design of the proposed solution and utilizing the information gathered in the first part. It provides a detailed description of the individual design solutions for the draisine. In the third part, the force actions on the elements of the mechanism are investigated. Subsequently, the strength characteristics of the selected parts are verified using analytical calculation methods. Finally, in accordance with the requirements, a drawing documentation of specific parts is prepared.
