The protection of the environment in land-use proceedings
Růžičková, Kateřina ; Fabšíková, Tereza (advisor) ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
The protection of the environment in land-use proceedings Abstract This master thesis deals with the issue of environmental protection in land-use proceedings. The topic of environmental protection is currently much discussed in the European Union and harmonisation tendencies also strongly influence the regulation of construction law. Environmental protection in land-use proceedings corresponds to the main principles governing environmental issues - the principles of prevention and precaution. Detailed assessment of projects before their execution eliminates possible negative impacts of these projects on the environment. The main goal of this thesis is to analyse the fragmented legal regulation of environmental protection in the context of land-use decision-making in the Czech Republic and to make it clearer. The thesis is not only limited to the current legislation, but is also focused on the changes brought about by the adoption of the new Construction Act, which is due to come into definitive force on 1 January 2024. Although after this date the proceedings before the construction authorities will no longer be divided into land-use proceedings and construction proceedings, as these proceedings will be combined into a single proceeding, the need for environmental protection, as well as the methods of its...

Characterization of phosphatases in tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L.)
Růžičková, Kateřina ; Ryšlavá, Helena (advisor) ; Tichá, Marie (referee)
Phosphateses (EC 3.1.3.x) are a group of enzymes that hydrolyze phosphoesters. That way they affect the energetic metabolism of a cell and its regulation. Phosphatases that dephosphorylate proteins are an integral part of signaling pathways, stress responses and they modulate enzymatic activity. This thesis deals with the study of phosphatases obtained from tobacco leaves (Nicotiana tabacum, L.). Solution of enzymes was prepared by extraction in both acidic and alkaline buffers. Through the use of the chromogenic substrate pNP-phosphate it was determined that there is a higher phosphatase activity in the glycosylated fraction than in the fraction that did not bind to Con A Sepharose. The research of the ions effect on the phosphatase activity has determined that Mg2+ and Ca2+ show positive effect on the phosphatase activity while the effect of Co2+ and Mn2+ is inhibitory. The Zn2+ ions have shown no effect whatsoever. The glycosylated phosphatases also dephosphorylated low-weight-molecular substrates phosphoserine, ATP and glucose-6-phosphate. The research of protein phosphatase activity discovered the affinity to the substrate phosvitin, although neither to casein nor its tryptic cleaves. Detailed experiments have shown that the pH optima for all the substrates lie from pH 5 to 6. Glycosylated phosphatases...
Effects of Climate change on root dynamics in temperate forests
Růžičková, Kateřina ; Bouda, Martin (advisor) ; Stiblíková, Pavlína (referee)
Fine roots contribute significantly to the global carbon and water cycle. Their dynamics and changes that may occur are therefore key players in these processes. Climate change significantly affects the dynamics of fine roots, and since individual factors are in interaction and may also function against each other, the overall response of the root system to climate change is difficult to predict. However, understanding these processes is essential for creating more accurate models to predict the response of ecosystems to a changing climate. This bachelor's project is a literature review that summarizes the knowledge about the effects of elevated temperature, CO2 concentration and drought on the dynamics of fine roots in temperate forests. Also, it provides a comprehensive view of the interaction of all three factors and considers some issues open for further research.
Studie vybraných druhů dřevin rodu Moringa (Moringaceae)
Růžičková, Kateřina
The aim of the study was to describe family Moringaceae and the list of all species of the genus Moringa, their original occurrence and growth forms was compiled. Detailed attention was paid to characteristics of the economically important species and their production. Since only the anatomical structure of the vegetative organs of the M. oleifera species has been found, the thesis describes in detail the anatomy of the vegetative organs of M. oleifera and M. stenopetala and compares these species to each other. The bulk density of the M. oleifera wood, both fresh and dry, was also evaluated
Psychological aspects of chronic postsurgical pain in cardiosurgery
Růžičková, Kateřina ; Raudenská, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Krámská, Lenka (referee)
This thesis focuses on the psychological factors that play a role in the development and maintenance of chronic postsurgical pain in patients after cardiac surgery. The literature review deals with the mechanisms of chronic postsurgical pain, its risk factors, the process of the transformartion of acute pain into chronic pain, and the psychological management of chronic pain after surgery, specifically in the field of cardiosurgery. The thesis focuses in particular on patient-related factors in terms of anxiety or depression before or after the surgery, coping strategies, fear of pain, attachment styles, and how are these factors involved in the development nad maintenance of chronic pain. The empirical part consists of a research of quantitative design conducted at the Department of Cardiac Surgery of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine and FN KV in Prague, which monitors the development of pain in patients after cardiac surgery at the time of discharge, 3 months after the surgery and after 1 year after the surgery, and focuses on the assessment of preoperative and postoperative patient-related factors that contribute to the development and maintenance of chronic pain. The main aim of the research is to identify these psychological factors.
