Cavitation in engineering praktice
Kianička, Martin ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis contains three parts. The first part is a background research which deals with notions such as cavitation and cyanobacteria. It also contains current phase in the use of cavitation. The second part deals with design, composition and constructional solution of hydraulic circuit on the riverboat. The third part deals with experimental certification of the cavitation effect on the cyanobacteria in the water. Design of the riverboat with the hydraulic circuit including the circuit itself and the cavitation tube was created in SolidWorks program, calculations, it’s processing and graphs were created in Microsoft Excel.
Study of turbine with side channel runner
Jandourek, Pavel ; Haluza, Miloslav (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with proposal of constructional solving turbine with side channel. Basis for the design is lossy characteristics of the valve. The intention is to replace hydraulic closures by turbine with side channel runner. Hydraulic losses in the flow restriction in turn replaced by the electricity generation in the comparable characteristics of valve and turbine.
Study of vortical structures generated by a swirl generator
Kurková, Michaela ; Pochylý, František (referee) ; Urban, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the study of vortical structures generated by a swirl generator. The theoretical part is focused on the description of experimental and numerical studies of the vortex rope phenomenon. This part also includes a brief overview of vortex identification methods. The second part is dedicated to the study of vortical structures captured by CFD simulations. The vortex identification methods are compared on an example of the vortex rope.
Design of a hydrodynamic seal of an axial pump with an annular motor
Jančík, Kryštof ; Fialová, Simona (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a hydrodynamic seal of an axial pump with an annular motor, and it does so in three main thematic planes: research of current knowledge, simulation and experimental. The research section provides an overview of a broad problem of magnetic fluid seals (ferrohydrodynamic (FHD) seals), current developments in the field of simulation of internal flow in magnetic fluid and in the field of application of FHD technology in sealing liquids. It also covers a wider context of potential use for mechanical circulatory support systems that have had a significant impact on the proposed concept of a novel axial FHD seal. The remaining two thematic planes deal with his design and experimental testing.
Design of gas spring
Machů, Tomáš ; Kuchař, Jan (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with springs, which elastic medium is compressible fluid. The individual types of springs and their usage in the technical practice are presented in this work. Below the work deals with mathematical model and development of new type of gas spring.
Study of plunger pump with linear motor
Jáchym, Jan ; Uttendorfský, Petr (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with study and design of plunger pump with linear motor. This pump can be used for blood pumping in heart surgery. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on description of extracorporeal circuit, heart boosters and artificial heart. This thesis provides an overview of check valves which are used in heart surgery too. Basic equitations for pump design are derived and calculated in this thesis. The pump design and manufacturing by the 3D technology was made by previous results. Finally, in this thesis are compared theoretical results and experimental data.
Valve Exploiting Principle of the Side-Channel Turbine
Jandourek, Pavel ; Janalík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Varchola, Michal (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The presented work deals with basic characteristics of the side-channel machines. The intention is to replace the pressure reducing valve by low-specific speed side-channel turbine. Thereby creating a kind of turbine valve using energy, which would otherwise be dissipated in the valve. Pressure reducing valves are the source of large hydraulic losses and their replacement is possible, because the same resistance characteristics side-channel turbine and a pressure reducing valve.
Modification of a blood pump as a heart replacement
Simandl, Mirek ; Fialová, Simona (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals optimization of regenerative pump and axial pump with ring motors that are designed as a heart replacement. Analysis of the koncepts is performed which were made in previous master’s thesis. There is created a new design of construction and hydraulition with using flat motors based on the analysis. The compact assembly of two impeller was formulated that replaced left and right heart and it served as a function of heart replacement. A functional model of the pump is created, there is measured characteristics of impeller and results are compared with CFD analysis. The design requirements some parts of the axial pump are added and it’s deviced feasibility analysis.
Separation of rigid particles from heterogeneous suspension
Prax, Ondřej ; Debreczeni, Ondřej (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis contains a literature search dealing with the separation of solid particles from a heterogenic suspension. The first part is aimed at separation methods. Then, a chapter follows dealing with separation devices, which are used in waste water treatment plants. A more detailed description of the separator used for the separation of sand from waste waters is part of this paper. The described device serving to separate solid particles from a suspension uses the combination of sedimentation and separation methods. To visualize the separator a 3D model in Autodesk Inventor Professional 9 device was used in the presented paper.
Optimization of a sinusoidal pump
Sluše, Jan ; Bílek, Martin (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design the technical solution of minimization of frictional losses, which occur when using a sine pump at position of the shaft locking and on the impeller wheel. The losses originating from the frictional forces have a negative influence on the lifetime of individual parts and economy of the pump. In the first part the author describes sine pumps from the constructional point of view and the main producers are mentioned. The second part contains suggestions on the parameters of the pump and various possibilities of solutions. The last part covers the experiment and conclusions.
