Production and properties of austenitic steels
Líkař, Martin ; Bořil, Petr (referee) ; Ostratický, Marek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes production of austenitic steels and their properties. First part of thesis contains general overview of austenitic steels and their division according to chemical composition. The second part includes production, which deals with secondary metallurgy. The third part deals with properties of austenitic steels, where is mentioned their use in practise. The aim is to develop research describing production, properties and composition of austenitic steels in view of their utilization.
Microstructure of high-alloy steels
Feller, Šimon ; Bořil, Petr (referee) ; Ostratický, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concerns formation of microstructure of high-alloy steels. In theoretic part there is summary of sorting high-alloy steels, possible structures and how these structures affect qualities of steel. For practical part two small experimental casts were created, which tried to imitate composition and structure of two another, much bigger casts. Microstructure, makrostructure and grain boundary segregation were compared.
Heat treatment of ductile iron
Vávrová, Veronika ; Ostratický, Marek (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on heat treatment and influence on the structure and properties of ductile iron. In the first part there is a description of the basic properties of ductile iron. Then the various types of heat treatment are presented. There is an experiment included focused on ferritisation annealing and its influence on the structure.
Production and properties of cast iron with compacted graphite
Zubáková, Alexandra ; Ostratický, Marek (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis summarizes knowledge of production and properties of compacted graphite iron. The first part describes its structure, chemical composition and the process of formation of compacted graphite. The following section describes methods used for production of compacted graphite iron. This thesis also contains summary of technological, mechanical and physical properties of compacted graphite iron.
Production of turbine wheel with investment casting
Fendrich, Tomáš ; Ostratický, Marek (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
TThis bachelor thesis is devoted to the production of turbine wheels by the method investment casting. It mensions the basic principles of investment casting, description of production of molds for wax models, choice of wax blends, materials used in the manufacturing of shells and description of the most used materials for casting of the turbine wheel itself. Also a short overwiev of vacuum casting technologies is presented. In the end of the thesis turbine wheel is casted from material A 890 Gr4A.
Investment casting technology - overview of cast materials
Ostratický, Marek ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Soukupová, Lucie (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with investment casting technology and overview of cast materials. In fist section deals with production. From the wax model, applying and curing the shell up to the actual casting and finishing operations. The second part is often drawn up a general overview of cast materials, which includes ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The aim is to develop research describing investment casting method with a general overview of cast materials. A summary of their properties and their use in practice.
Macrosegregation and microsegregation in austenitic CrNi steels
Ostratický, Marek ; Čech, Jan (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with segregation cycles in austenitic CrNi steels. In first section deals with theory of macrosegregation and microsegregation cycles. The second part is focused on this cycles in experimental casting. Macrosegregation was measured by spectrometric analyser and by MAGMA simulation program. Microsegregation was measured by electron microscope. The aim of this diploma thesis is verify the influence of setting conditions on heterogenity chemical composition in austenitic CrNi steel. For experimental casting with a wall thickness of about 500 mm will be verified effect of the setting time, residence time between solid and liquid phases and others parameters for macrosegregation and microsegregation in selected elements.
Making a replica of cannon barell
Helešic, Jan ; Ostratický, Marek (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the production of a cannon replica mainly on the basis of a suitably chosen technology. On the basis of a literary study, which consisted mainly of an examination of historical sources, gravitational casting was chosen. The mold was formed from the inorganic molding compound GEOPOL. The model of the barrel was created according to the historical model of the ship's cannon. The model was created by CNC machining and the material is artificial wood. Cast iron with flake graphite, which has suitable foundry properties, was chosen as the casting material. The conclusion of the thesis contains an evaluation of the selected technology.
