MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING ON THE CORNER OF BRATISLAVSKA AND STARA STREET IN BRNO, ZABRDOVICE. THE LOCALITY, WHICH IS SITUATED NEAD BY THE CITY CENTER AND THE SMALL INNER CITY CIRCLE HAS GREAT GENIE LOCI. THE MAIN IDEA WAS TO COMPLETE THE BLOCK, CREATE CORNER AND SAVE THE LOCAL ATMOSPHERE. THE LOCALITY HAS ALSO LACK OF PUBLIC SPACES. CHARAKTERISTIC ELEMENT IS COURTYARD, WHICH IS USUALLY CLOSED AND PRIVAT. PROJECT CREATES AN COURTYARD, BUT PUBLIC ACCESSEBLE. NEW PUBLIC SPACE THEN WILL NOT BE OPENED TO THE HECTIC STREET FULL OF CAR, WHICH MAKES IT MORE DE LUXE. MOREOVER, THIS WAY CREATS MORE SPACES FOR PARTERRE.

Czech Sacral Architecture between 1900 - 1950 in International Context

The thesis deals with the history and the interpretation of the development of sacral architecture during the first half of the twentieth century. It interprets the topic in a broad framework, which mentions the historical preconditions of this development and in the most important cases also its international relations. The introductional chapters list all up-to-date publications to the topic and suggest certain means of interpretation of sacral architecture which reflects the natural division of this topic between the disciplines of architectural theory and religion science. The own thesis begins with characteristics of social and religious situation in the Austria-Hungary and its consequences of sacral architectural development. It mentions basic examples of sacral buildings and the measure of their relation to the contemporary architectural development in general. Subsequently it mentions transformational influence of World War I and of declaration of souverain Czechoslovakia, which led to the emergence of new churches with their own architectural ambitions and also to the focus shifting of discipline to new contemporary topics. It follows the parallels with contemporary architectural trends of 1920's and the level of their use in the specific field of religious buildings also in relation to individual churches with their different architectural developments. Further it mentions sacral building development in 1930's with the emphasis in relation to the contemporary social atmosphere and in accent transformation between conservative and progressive religious approach. Than it follows with a review of religious culture transformation during World War II in Protectorate Czech Moravia and shows particularity of unnumerous examples of church buildings and projects from this era. The final part than reflects the evolution of the social role of religion after the War as well as an influence of communist coup in 1948 at potential of sacral architecture. It states the negative influence of both totalitarian regimes on the quality of sacral buildings of following period and on a poor measure of disciplines theoretical knowledge, which among others results in unsufficient primary sources, from which this thesis would likely have taken. Even when this thesis have not and cannot have an ambition of full exploration of the topic, it presents the factography and collecion of interpretations, by means of which the significant gap in the historiography of 20th century Czech sacral architecture can be at least partially bridged.

Residential Complex in Brno - Komín

Area is located in the city of Brno-Komin in place of existing gardens. The proposal consists of small apartment buildings, which together 19 concept is sensitively set home into the surrounding urban fabric and terrain. Houses are located in the lower flat part of the parcel. It's subtle and simple architecture. Residential houses have 3 floors. Each apartment has an entrance from the living room directly to your own private garden. Two lower apartments have a garden on the ground and the upper apartment has it on the terrace.

The aim of the thesis is to design a high quality timeless urban district or part of the city, in relation to the existing historic city. The area in question is located in the historic centre, which is also a conservation area. The site contains both urban landmarks and historic buildings. However, most of the buildings were built after 1945, when the town was largely bombed out. The main idea of the design is to respect the existing structure. The design complements the existing buildings and creates new blocks that clearly define public and private space. Other elements include making public spaces more attractive, revitalising traffic areas and improving pedestrian infrastructure. The newly proposed development is predominantly residential in nature and should increase interest in living in the city for young people and businesspeople.

The assignment of the diploma thesis was the design of a contemporary urban district in the context of a historical city in the details of an urban study. The area of interest is Obránců míru housing estate, which is located close to the historical core of Třebíč and at the same time stood at the beginning of the Nové Dvory district development, which was significantly influenced by the construction of the Dukovany NPP. The main goal of this thesis is to demonstrate the ability of the housing estate to adapt to today's trends to a sustainable, self-sufficient, climate and energy-resilient urban structure with the application of blue-green infrastructure and to point out the importance of intensive recycling development. The concept of the re-vision consists of the creation of a high-quality environment oriented in greenery enhancing the concept of permeability, shaping and strengthening the community coexistence of residents. The re-vision is a gradual process based on phasing, which will ensure long-term stable development with the subsequent possibility of gradual renewal / replacement of the construction of panel houses with a new structure.

The aim of the master's thesis is to design a high-quality timeless residential district or part of the city, connected to an existing historical town. The designated area is located within the vicinity of the historical city center and the Rokytná River. The main idea of the design is to redefine public spaces while respecting the existing structure of the historical core and creating a new neighborhood. The proposal involves the creation of strategically positioned new public areas for gatherings and social activities for the city's residents. Additionally, the design addresses the transformation of the existing industrial area into a new district that connects to the newly developed Rokytná River waterfront. The newly designed district consists mainly of residential buildings, but it also includes a mixed-use building, and a renovated existing building has been transformed into a hotel with wellness facilities that connect to the river.

Multifunctional hall Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou

he assignment is the design of a multipurpose hall in Jaroměřice and Rokytnou. The building object is designed on the land of the former falconry, on which there an athletic oval and a multifunctional playground is situated. Currently, the sports complex does not meet its expectations and is poorly visited. The aim of the proposal is therefore to add suitable and attractive new sports facilities, cultural spaces and places which allow people from the village and the surrounding area to meet. The proposal consists of two buildings, a multi-purpose hall and an accommodation building, which are interconnected by a connecting bridge. The sports hall is a 3-storey building, with two storeys and a basement, the accommodation building is likewise 3-storey building with two storeys and a residential attic. An extensive vegetated roof is proposed on the hall building, while the roof of the accommodation building is designed as a gable roof so that its appearance refers to its purpose. In terms of mass, there are two shapes in the area, a cubic cuboid shape - the multifunctional hall and a five-angled longitudinal cuboid - the accommodation building. The buildings are unified by an offset façade of timber slats. The load-bearing system of the building of the multifunctional hall is made of glued timber frame structures. The buildings are designed so that various activities, whether sporting or cultural, can take place in their premises. In the hall there is a cafeteria, a large hall, small halls, a gym, catering facilities, changing rooms or technical and sanitary facilities. The accommodation building contains rooms, storage areas, technical facilities and laundry. The buildings are designed as barrier free and wheelchair accessible. Buildings. By their positioning on the site, the buildings form a corner adjacent to the adjacent streets. The buildings respect the urban structure of the streets. The design also works to preserve as much of the original greenery on the site as possible and adds several new trees to this existing greenery. Overall, therefore, the proposal extends the potential of the sports complex and offers it a wider use and new meaning.

Multifunctional hall Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou

The bachelor thesis is based on the project of a multi-purpose sports hall according to an assignment that was prepared in the third semester of the bachelor studies in the subject AG032. The topic of the study is the design of a new multifunctional sports hall in the town of Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou. The concept of the solution was to design a multifunctional hall that will provide all the required functions. The three-story building is partially embedded into the terrain so that its height does not exceed the surrounding buildings. The facade of the building from Jiráskova Street is made up of overhanging profiled glass panels that copy the indoor space of the sports area. The rest of the facade is made of corrugated metal and plaster. The building has a sports area, a small hall, a gym, facilities for athletes, a bar and accommodation in the form of bedrooms. The building of the hall and its surroundings are designed in such a way that both sports and cultural events can take place here.
