Hotel with wellness

The topic of this thesis is a new-building of a hotel with a wellness centre. The building site is located in the cadastral area of Malenovice near Zlín, the city of Zlín, Zlín Region. It is the building consisting of three rectangles inserted into each other. The building is designed as a six-floor skeletal construction with a cellar made of reinforced concrete, roofed with flat roofs. In the first floor there is a reception, a restaurant with outside seating, wellness centre, and utility rooms. The second and the third floor are intended for accommodation of guests in the form of double rooms and apartments. In the fourth and fifth floors there are double rooms as well. Rooms for guests and apartments are situated to the southern and northern part. This residential space is mostly equipped with balconies stretching along the corners. In the last, sixth floor there can be found the management of the hotel, a conference room and a bar with terrace. The main entrance is situated to the northern part of the object. Outdoor parking places are also a part of the hotel. Exterior and interior of the hotel are designed in the conformity with current modern trends. The layout of the space is functional and basic. The dynamics of the building is supported by external holes in black colour and by the two-coloured facade in blue and grey colours. The hotel is meant for both active and passive relaxation, there is a possibility of accommodation of young couples, families with children, elderly people, individuals, and people with limited ability of movement. The hotel of designed with the focus on the comfort of guests. Therefore the leisure time space is a part of hotel. The comfortable space for relaxation within the object is provided by the wellness centre mentioned above, the bar with terrace, and an outdoor swimming pool. Bachelors thesis is focused on design and elaboration of design documentation of end terraced family house in Strelice u Brna, the parcel number 5801/2. Proposition of house respects both commune plan and current street buildings. It's not supposed to create stress with its shape and size, but complete actual buildings. It has one elevated floor and built-in attic, saddle roof, it is cellar less. House has 1 living unit, it's determinate for 4 member family.

Experimental drying and desalination of bricks, sandstones and masonry under an applied electric field

Dewatering and desalination of building constructions is currently a discussed topic. At the present time, different techniques for dewatering and desalination can be used. The existing methods are efficient but it is necessary to improve these methods and to develop new ones. The moisture in the building constructions is directly connected with the salts, which can be dissolved in it and together with the moisture further to move. The salts can cause damage of constructions and change mechanical and physical properties of the buildings materials. The basic demands for dewatering and desalination are the speed, efficiency and economical factors. Presented dissertation focuses on dewatering and desalination with the use of electrokinetic methods together with the technique of the clay poultices. In the first part of the thesis, basic theoretical principles of moisture and salts are described. In the second part (experimental part), the series of experimental measurements were conducted both in the laboratory and in situ. In this part of dissertation, I was dewatering and desalinating bricks and sandstones under an applied electric field. The main focus was on the optimization of a laboratory setup in order to get the highest efficiency for dewatering and desalination. Other measurements were done in situ, where the same technique was used.

Diploma thesis is focused on design and elaboration of detailed design of polyfunctional building by Střelice, Brno-venkov the parcel number5804/4 and 5804/5. Proposition of the object respects both commune plan and current street buildings. It‘s not supposed to create stress with its shape and size, but complete actual buildings. It has four elevated floors, one basement and flat roof. Building has commercial space, mass garage and flats, it‘s determinate for study purpose.

Building of Current Railway Station in Brno

The present Bachelor´s thesis is based on the project carried out as an architectural design studio´s project of the 4th semester of Bachelor´s degree. The assigned task concerned a reconstruction of a historical building currently used as the main railway station of Brno city. The project deals with reconstruction and possible new uses of the building in case that a current railway station should be moved about 800 meters to the south (the new position of the railway station might be decided by the Ministry of transport of the Czech Republic depending on feasibility studies in near future). The project aims to show new possibilities of use for the historical building (after the railway station being moved) as well as to find an easier access to surrounding area for pedestrians coming from the city centre and heading to the South. So the project considers the demolition of the building wing nearest to the Post Office (building). In this way, a new passage for pedestrians could be opened at the same time a new optical connection would be created. On the part of the demolished wing ground plan a new high-rise building with a panoramatic terrace and commercial use would be erected. It would also serve as a landmark. Further the tower of the historical building, destroyed in the World War II. would be newly reconstructed. The old passage along the front of the west wing would be demolished and a new one build. Eventually the remains of the west wall would be reconstructed after demolition. Even if these extentions and changes are carried out in modern design, the historical values of the building and its genius loci would be respected. In the area of the former railyard, a park would be created which is desperately needed in this part of the city. The weelchair access is planed across the park heading from the city centre towards the bridge at the level of second floor of Tesco and NG Vaňkovka. There would be also a parking lot for about 700 cars below the park.

Detached House with an estab

A purpose of this bachelor's thesis is create a design of detached house with an estab which is located in the cadaster unit Domamyslice, municipality Prostějov. Detached house is designed as three-floor building with two above-ground floors and a basement. First floor is divided into a living area and a commercial area. Vertical load-bearing structures of above-ground floors, non-load bearing structures and ceilings are made of POROTHERM system. Vertical load-bearing structures of the basement are made of concrete blocks. External thermal insulation system has a thickness of 150 mm. Basement thermal insulation system has a thickness of 100 mm. The construction of the roof is designed as warm flat roof. The part of the roof above the garage is walkable. Doors and windows are wooden. The garage is designed for two cars. The main purpose of the bachelor's thesis is create the layout design, the architectural design and especially the structural design.

Flat House

This bachelor thesis concerns project of apartment building in Olomouc. On the north side there is a joined shield roof with neighbouring family house. There are 2 floors and 8 apartments in the apartment building in total. 4 apartments are located on the 1st floor and 4 apartments are on the 2nd floor. The building is desig-ned from construction system made of ceramic fittings and part of the foundation is made of hidden formwork. The ceilings are assembled from ceramic fittings. The bearing part of the sloping roof is made of wooden trusses. Project documentation for construction work is part of the thesis.

SMS Enterprise Premises

Buildings for small and medium businesses constitute separate premises adjacent to D2 highway exit to the city of Modřice and village of Chrlice. Design of these buildings is based on simple composition of cuboid forms in order to create partly enclosed entry compass enliven with greenery. This space also serves as a resting place in the time of pauses. Frontage of buildings is appended with foremost facade consisting of blocks of various colours and materials that results in interesting and playful appearance of buildings. Therefore, despite its production purposes, the whole campus creates an impression of a residential area. The main architectonic goal was to create building (buildings) with as flexible utilization as possible, while respecting important role of incorporation of nature and greenery into premises.

The building, as a subject of the bachelor project. Industrial building that is supposed to be a place for new technologies, new machinery and new chemical elements, invented by the students of the Brno technical university. The shape of the building was being developed gradually. First sketches were originated at the atelier, the origin of the building was given the shape according to the estate. After the complex project was selected by the university, the facade and the disposition of the building have been further developed up to the final state. The building is divided into three parts: administrative, laboratory and technological. The special feature is that all the floors are not on the same level. The administrative and the laboratory parts are on the same level, and have three floors. Technological part has two floors, with completely flexible access of the cargo elevator. The basement is used as a parking area for employees. The roof has a surface with the skylight installations. I was working on the project by myself, with the help of professor A. Novy CSc. And M .Novotny CSc. For this project I used Neuferts documents and CSN, including the materials from the lectures of industrial building. As an architect I was supposed to create an architectural project on the above mentioned theme “Form construction and function”

Detached family house, Křtěnov

This thesis deals with the design of detached house. The building is situated on a slightly terrain in cadastre unit of Křtěnov. Family house is T-shape and is a two-floor building without basement. The house is design for a family of four. External walls are constructed from ceramic blocks Porotherm and insulated by contact thermal insulation system. Ceiling are designed as a cast-in-place reinforced slabs. The house is roofed with gable roof with a sloupe 35 degrees.
