Corrective exercises for injury prevention in ice hockey players
Steklík, Aleš ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Novák, Dominik (referee)
Title: Compensatory exercises as one of the possible tools for injury prevention in ice hockey players Objectives: The aim of this thesis was primarily to identify and describe the most common injuries occurring in ice hockey players based on professional articles and available literature. Subsequently, the work was aimed at creating a stack of compensatory exercises (relaxation, strengthening, stretching) that could lead to a reduction in the risk of injuries. Methodology: The work was based on an empirical character. The findings from the literature were used. On the basis of the literature, consultations with physiotherapists and own experience, compensatory exercises were designed, which focused on the prevention of injuries in ice hockey players or on the elimination of imbalances or on exercises typical for the development of ice hockey players. Conclusion: Based on the literature and articles, it has been found that the most common injuries in ice hockey players are due to overload and contact with an opponent. Ice hockey players spend most of their time on the ice during games or training or spend time on conditioning. However, they forget about compensatory exercises. As a result, muscle imbalances occur due to unilateral loading and this causes many negative changes in the musculoskeletal...

Autor: Dominik Havelka Title: Development of speed in changing of directional of skating by agility exercises in ice hockey training focused of defenders in category midget and juniors Objective: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the impact on increasing speed abilities through the creation of a test battery and a training program that focused on agility skating exercises in the youth and junior age categories. Another goal is to determine whether the rate of influence was different for defensemen and forwards, and also the rate of influence was different between youth and juniors. Methods: Methods: ANOVA statistical analysis was used to compare results in individual tests. A total of 32 players participated in the research, 17 in the youth category with an average age of 15.00 ± 0.59 years and 15 in the junior category with an average age of 17.93 ± 0.85 years. The experiment lasted 14 weeks during the competitive period. Testing took place in the first and last weeks, and 12 weeks of training stimulation took place between the testing. Results: In both observed categories, there was improvement in terms of Cohen's d in all tests. The average times of both groups improved in all tests. Youth values for the Illinois agility test showed improvement with a large effect, Cohen's d =...
Uranium mineralization in the Krkonoše permian piedmont basin: Radioactive elements in the Rudník horizon near Vrchlabí
Novák, Dominik ; Goliáš, Viktor (advisor) ; Tuhý, Marek (referee)
This paper focuses on artificial outcrop of permian lacustrine sediments of the Rudník horizon (298-297 Ma) and red siltstones of the Vrchlabí formation near Vrchlabí, where increased concentrations of uranium and thorium radionuclides were observed during previous researches. Radionuclides are concentrated in a few layers of black, grey and red shales, which makes about 20 m of the whole 250 m long studied profile. Rock samples were collected from localised radioactive layers and studied for mineralogical compositions, concentrations of radionuclides and autoradiographic and microscopic study of uranium and thorium bonds in these rocks. Laboratory measurements confirmed increased concentrations of both uranium and thorium in collected samples. Highest amount of uranium was measured in anoxic black shale (106,9 ppm U), highest amount of thorium in anomalous sample of red siltstone (76,6 ppm Th). Shales and siltstones main contents are albite, analcime, calcite, dolomite, muscovite and potasium feldspars. Acording to the study it is assumed, that the main source of radionuclides were redeposited pyroclastics from the Krkonoše piedmont basin area or synchronous volcanic activity. It is likely, that during late tectonic development of the basin, these radionuclides were redistributed by hydrothermal...

Title: Comparison of the effectiveness of ice skate training using the change of directional speed exercices and powerskating in the U10 category Goals: The main goal of this study is to compare the effectivity of ice hockey skating training using partial skating tasks and training with the usage of change of directions speed. 8 skating tests were used to compare these two methods in the U10 category. Methods: The method of quantitative analysis was used to compare the results in each test. A total of 13 players under the age of 10 years with an average training age of 4.73 ± 1.15 participated in the research. A total of three test measrurements were conducted. The first one taking place before any stimulation for both groups. The second, which followed six weeks of intervention using skating technique and agility exercises respectively, and the third, which followed a further six weeks of intervention when the groups were rotated. The measured times were tabulated and then statistically processed. Results: After the second measurement (POST_1), the group starting with the skating technique improved in 7 out of 8 tests. The group starting with agility skating showed improvement in 6 out of 8 tests. The most significant improvement for both groups was seen in the 30m backwards test, with the group...

Title: Analysis of power plays in Czech republic U18 for the last three World Championship (2018, 2019, 2021) Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis will be a detailed analysis of the goals scored from numerical superiority at the U18 World Championship in 2018, 2019 and 2021. The first sub-objective is to determine the positives and negatives of the Czech national team's power plays at these World Championships. The second sub-objective is to compare the Czech Republic's power plays against the top two ranked teams from all World Cups. Methods: The analysis was conducted in the form of indirect observation. Using video recordings, 71 power play goals scored in 43 matches from three World Championships in 2018, 2019 and 2021 were observed. The teams observed were always the Czech Republic together with the finalists of these three World Championships. The goals were then recorded in the created record sheets and analysed. Results: The analysis included the shooting area, shooting location, the formation used to score the goal and the type of shooting. The results show that the most common shooting space was in front of the goal, which was seen in 26,76 % of power play goals. The most exploited shot of the World Championship was the cross-ice shot with a share of 63,38 %, which was most often...

Novák, Dominik ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Vojta, Zdeněk (referee)
Title: Development of agility during on-ice and off-ice trainings for ice hockey players in the youth category. Objectives: This diploma thesis is mainly focusing on verify whether off-ice training or on-ice training is more effective and cause better agility improvement on the ice. Another goal of the thesis is to experimentally verify if there is a motoric transfer to agility on ice due to agility training off the ice. Methods: In this experiment, I had seven participants divided into two separated groups. The task for the groups was to undergo two, one month training programs, on - ice and off - ice. Results were measured by method of quantitative analysis of motoric test results. Results: In both of the monitored groups, the results were improved in two out of six tests. For the research, the participants were divided into two groups. Both groups completed a month long training program on ice and off ice. In the direct 6.1m sprint test, direct 35m sprint and S - Corner, the results did not change. In the slalom-puck test, a difference was found in the Cohen d values between the group which began only on ice and in the group that was beginning office after both periods. The result of the reaction test was by Cohen's d same as in the slalom-puck test. Keywords: Ice hockey, agility, training,...

Vliv nových technologií v energetice na domácnosti
Novák, Dominik ; Strouhal, Jiří (advisor) ; Žádník, Josef (referee)
This masters thesis aims to assess and evaluate the potential of home based energy storage systems for the final user. In theoretical part it therefore describes the historical development of the European power sector with the purpose of determining, what was the impact of this development on products offered by energy providers to the final consumers of electricity. Findings from this analysis are then used to design a model, which is introduced and described in the practical part of the masters thesis. This model is afterwards used to assess the profitability of home batteries implementation by three different types of households and also to determine, what are the key drivers and constraints for the adoption of energy storage systems by households.
