Employment of persons with disabilities Abstract The aim of this thesis was to present the issue of employment of persons with disabilities in the Czech legal system as comprehensively as possible. Thanks to the fact that persons with disabilities constitute, according to the Czech Statistical Office, more than 10% of the population and their number is increasing, the Czech Republic has this issue quite comprehensive. Apart from the Czech legal system, this thesis also approaches the most important regulations for defining persons with disabilities in international regulation. The content of this thesis is arranged in five chapters. The first chapter introduces the basic concepts without which it is impossible to deal with this issue, namely the concept of employment and disability. The second chapter defines the category of persons with disabilities in the Czech legal system into two categories, namely disabled persons and persons with disabilities. The third chapter presents the basic definition of persons with disabilities in the most important regulations of the International Organisations. Analysis and visualization of OCR output

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a process of converting text from images to a machine-readable text. We run three OCR systems (Tesseract, Ocrad and GOCR) on an original multilingual OCR dataset and perform statistical and linguistic analysis of the results in order to compare the tested systems and investigate typical OCR errors. 1
Impact of overweight and obesity on life quality

This diploma thesis addresses overweight and obesity worldwide and in the Czech Republic. It deals primarily with child obesity and investigates obesity impact on life quality of individuals. The aim of this work was to manifest a negative effect of obesity and overweight on health of the population. The theoretic part of the thesis deals with obesity definition, methods of measurement, treatment options and time trends with an emphasis on the situation in the Czech Republic. Effects of overweight and obesity on humans are analysed on the basis of expert studies. The obesity increases mortality and morbidity levels and the risk may increase if the prevalence grows. The analytical part of the work deals with the examination of survey data for children and adults. Statistical methods of correlation and regression were used for the analytical purpose. Palliative care in the intensive care from the perspektive of treating staff

(Aj) Introduction: Although palliative care may not seem to be part of an intense environment, it is true. Palliative approach to patients who are in resuscitation wards or intensive care units is part of a comprehensive approach in the treatment of seriously ill patients. It includes an individual and sensitive approach to a patient in a state where all available treatment options are exhausted, and further proactive steps in treatment would entail patient suffering, family hardship and, last but not least, a non-palliative treatment approach would have a negative impact to the entire nursing staff. Palliative care therefore involves not only an individual approach to the needs of the patient but also of the patient's family and loved ones. It is not a concept of care based on an individual's approach to the patient, but rather on the cooperation of the entire nursing team, ie doctors, nurses and paramedics. The palliative team working in the hospital is available to staff not only in the intensive department but also in the entire hospital, and is made up of interdisciplinary experts. Otakar Šourek (1883-1956) and his Music Critical Activities

The presented Master's thesis, titled "Otakar Šourek (1883-1956) - Music critic and writer", deals with Otakar Šourek, the author of the most extensive monograph on Antonín Dvořák to date. Šourek played a significant role in the musical life of the first Czechoslovak Republic (1918 - 1938). He worked for numerous music institutions and wrote music reviews, articles and studies for many journals and magazines, as well as books. On the basic of the description of Šourek's public work and his engagement in several music "scandals" in the first Czechoslovak Republic, the thesis strives to evaluate Šourek's position amid the musical life of the time and characterise him as a music critic. The thesis draws upon the study of source materials from Otakar Šourek's personal effects, deposited at the National Museum - Czech Museum of Music, and study of the period press. The use of EU funded resources in a selected company

The goal of this thesis is to describe the theoretical bases about the issue of financial support funded by the European Union in the years 2007 - 2013 and to show their practical use in a project implemented by the organization PROSTOR PRO, o.p.s. which is called "Zero grade in working life". The next part deals with the program period 2014 - 2020 where the most attention is dedicated to the field of youth unemployment. It is within this very period that the company PROSTOR PRO, o.p.s. is going to implement its next project. The recommended field of focus for future projects is based on established and supported areas as well as questionnaire surveys.
Martketing strategy of selected company

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the marketing strategy of the Spanish restaurant in Prague and to suggest its improvement on the basics of observed data. The thesis is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on strategy of firm in general, marketing strategy and its differences especially in marketing services. In the practical part, the restaurant is first briefly introduced, then there are characterized its services and current marketing activities of the restaurant. Next I attended a SWOT analysis, questionnaire survey and financial analysis to justify the specific recommendations in the marketing mix and create a new marketing strategy proposal.
