The bachelor thesis Factors influencing phthalate accumulation in food has the character of a literature search and deals with factors that influence phthalate migration into food. Phthalates are lipophilic organic compounds that are used to soften plastics. As a result of human activities, they enter the environment, from which they subsequently enter the human food chain. However, food contamination also occurs during production and storage. Factors that influence the migration of phthalates into food include the contact time of the food with the polymer, storage temperature, ultrasound, pH of the food, UV radiation, type of preservative, and composition of the packaging material and food. Phthalates have negative effects on human and animal health. They cause reproductive disorders, allergic reactions, immune system disorders, cardiovascular problems and are carcinogenic.

Specialized TV channels in the Czech Republic

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of the origin, development and operation of thematic television channels in the Czech Republic and their cultural, social and economic context. The theoretical section defines the significance and the role of television, media specialization, audience profile description and survey of the Czech TV market. The most crucial chapter introducing the second section is dedicated to the particularities of the television market. The empirical part is devoted to the analysis and comparison of two thematic television channels, Z1 and Televize Metropol. It furthermore deals with the possible development of the TV market and the prospects of TV as a medium. The aim of this thesis is to address the question whether thematic channels have the potential to gain a critical audience in order to sustain long term broadcasting.

The Czech Market of Hobby Markets from the View of Consumers

This bachelor thesis is focused on the Czech market of hobby markets from the view of consumers. The work is divided into four parts. The first chapter looks into the behaviour of consumers and the process of market segmentation. The second part is about three biggest companies on the Czech hobby market, which are Hornbach Baumarkt CS, OBI and Bauhaus. The third chapter is focused on the company Hornbach Baumarkt CS and its private labels. The last part comprehends my own research in front of one of the shops of Hornbach Baumarkt and is targeted on the typical consumer of this shop, his knowledge of the competition and services from Hornbach. The output of this work is a concept for the company Hornbach, how they should communicate with their consumers.

Change of theatre management

In which way lead a successful change of theatre management? This research question has stood at the beginning of my diploma thesis. The role of a theatre manager and its managerial features are concerned in this paper.
I trace a process of change in a theatre management in tree case studies (the theatres "Na zábradlí", "pod Palmovkou" and "na Vinohradech"). The findings are analysed in the context of artistic, public, but also commercial sector.
The case works serve as a means of formulation of so called "Lessons Learned": generalisations of key moments and barriers of successful change which are derived form concrete cases.
The need of managerial approach in a theatre management results from the problems described above. The aim of this thesis is to argue for such an approach which understands management as a particular proficiency with its regular place within the art world.
Since the environment of subsidized organisations is concerned, it is important not to omit the influence of founder as an agent of change. I assume, that we will face up to open competitions for theatre directors instead of system changes.
The crucial aim of this thesis is to identify a process of change, to apprehend its critical points and offer some possible solutions. The second aim is to contribute to a debate on the need of managerial approach in a management of art organisations.

Conception of a Transformation of the Prague’s Theatre Studio Ypsilon

The bachelor thesis deals with a problem of the transformation of Pragues's theatre network. Firstly, the theoretical part is focused on analysis of a financial and legislative support of Czech theatres. Measurement of support originates in their position and role in Czech society, especially during forming of modern Czech nation. It describes current governmental cultural policy and Prague's conception of cultural support. Subsequent practical part includes characteristic of legal forms and their influence on financing, administration, control and dramaturgy of the theatre. The practical part also deals with the position of Studio Ypsilon in Prague's theater network and it is analyzing its current situation in economics, personnel and artistic terms. The results are compared with chosen organizations of various legal forms. The goal of the bachelor thesis is to create a practicable transformation model of Studio Ypsilon, based on the analysis and criticism of the advantages and disadvantages of the considered options.

Educational Systems in Ghana - selected issues

The first chapter describes the political and economic development in Ghana and its impact on the creation of the formal educational system since the first european invasion on the african continent and the beginnings of colonialism until the end of 1990's. The second chapter analyses current educational system, especially its newly reformed structure and functioning. The third chapter concentrates on the two main problems of the educational system in Ghana, which are child labour and low quality of education.
