Insulating materials in foundry technology
Slowiaczek, Kamil ; Krutiš, Vladimír (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with materials that ensure the insulation of foundry furnaces and ladles. The first part discusses the properties that most affect the insulation capacity. The second chapter focuses on the overview and characteristics of refractory materials. In the next part of the thesis, the most used insulation materials are named and approached. Finally, the thesis deals with the composition of the lining of the electric arc furnace, ladles and the rammed lining of the induction crucible furnace.
Lining of the induction furnaces
Kopečný, Vendelín ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with lining of electric induction furnaces. The first part describes the preparation of lining, its function during the running of furnace and also its tearing down at the end of work process. In the thesis is also discussed the use of rammed crucibles. The materials used for lining and rammed crucibles are described also in the sense of their chemical properties in connection with the possibilities of their use under different conditions. The practical part of the thesis describes the process of lining the electric induction furnace, which was realized by the author under the supervision of the supervisor.
Manufacture of cast iron mortar replica
Myška, Martin ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Kaňa, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the complete production technology of mortar replica. The first part describes the historical development of mortar and pestle in Bohemia and in the world. In the second part there is the description of the technological process of production of models and the methods of molding process. Finally, the production of the mold, subsequent casting and purifying process of the mortar are documented.
Furnaces for heat treatment of metals
Pražan, Jan ; Myška, Martin (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on construction of furnaces for heat treatment of metal. The classification and description of heat treatment of steel, cast iron, non-iron metal and their alloys was based on literature review. The description of the key ways of temperature transfer is provided: by conduction, convection, and radiation. The furnace type’s distinction was created according to the types of construction, heat treatment, and its purpose. The main focus was on chamber furnaces construction and their use. In addition the performance calculation, insulation types overview, ways of heating, temperature distribution, and also heat measurement, and regulation needed for treatment are presented. The thesis provides also assessment of advantages and disadvantages of insulation types and selected ways of heating (i.e. flame and resistance heat sources).
Making of movie figurine replica
Petřík, Michal ; Myška, Martin (referee) ; Janský, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis is focused on an overview of artistic casting in a form of chronological order of individual epochs in the mankind’s arts, in which artistic casting had occurred. Furthermore, a brief overview of materials used the most in artistic casting is added to this thesis. Practical part of this thesis is dedicated to various ways of production of a movie figurine replica based on a copy of children’s toy.
Production of castings using Rapid prototyping
Baránek, Martin ; Myška, Martin (referee) ; Bořil, Petr (advisor)
The work is focused on the production of a decorated stand casting using rapid prototyping and reverse engineering methods. The thesis first performs a literature search dealing with selected additive technologies usable for the production of foundry patterns or molds. Subsequently, the work describes the basics of 3D scanning technology. The experimental part of the thesis describes the production process of castings. The original was first digitized using a hand-held scanner, the obtained data were modified as needed and served as an input for 3D printing of permanent foundry patterns. Their production took place on a FDM 3D printer PRUSA MK3S and they were made of PLA material. The models were then formed into sand molds. The resulting castings were made of grey cast iron.
Queuing theory and virtual factory by using mathematical models
Myška, Martin ; Klimeš, Lubomír (referee) ; Mauder, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the modelling of a production line. The topology of the line is based on the real production line of BOSCH DIESEL s.r.o. – Jihlava company. Simulations have been made using Matlab-Simulink-SimEvents software. The created model represents a pilot simulation of the manufacturing process. The model allows to set a deterministic or stochastic approach and use of an auxiliary worker for planning machine maintenances and finding the bottlenecks in the production. As a pilot version the model is simplified, e.g. the short breaks of operators are neglected. The simulation results and comparisons are described in detail later in this document. In order to bring the simulation closer to the real manufacturing process, future improvement options are mentioned.
Manufacturing, use and properties of duplex austenitic-ferritic steels
Cunda, Ondřej ; Blažík, Petr (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is a literary research focused on duplex austenitic-ferritic steels. The thesis describes structure, chemical composition, production, mechanical, physical and technological properties. The work includes an overview of the most commonly used duplex steels and their use.
Production of turbine wheel with investment casting
Fendrich, Tomáš ; Ostratický, Marek (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
TThis bachelor thesis is devoted to the production of turbine wheels by the method investment casting. It mensions the basic principles of investment casting, description of production of molds for wax models, choice of wax blends, materials used in the manufacturing of shells and description of the most used materials for casting of the turbine wheel itself. Also a short overwiev of vacuum casting technologies is presented. In the end of the thesis turbine wheel is casted from material A 890 Gr4A.
Production of lever fuse casting for hose coupling
Tvrdoň, Tomáš ; Myška, Martin (referee) ; Pernica, Vítězslav (advisor)
The first part of this bachelor’s thesis is just a theory and it is focused on producing castings with method of impermanent moulds. You can find here basic classification of moulds and afterwards sand moulds and ceramic moulds are described. The second part is practical and it is focused on a production of lever fuse which defends disconnection of the fire hose when it is under the pressure of water. Lost wax casting was chosen for the production. In this part is described full process from pattern making, gluing to wax tree, covering to metal casting. The whole practical part is accompanied by authentic pictures which were made during the process.
