The Options of Prosthetic Equipment for Patients with Transfemoral Amputation Covered by Public Health Insurance

TITLE: The Options of Prosthetic Equipment for Patients with Transfemoral Amputation Covered by Public Health Insurance OBJECTIVES : The aim of this work is to present a comprehensive overview of prosthetic equipment for adult patients with transfemoral amputations that are currently available in Czech Republic by health insurance. The theoretical overview is supplemented by three case studies of elderly patients whose improvement of mobility helped them to get special prostheses. METHODS: The basis of the analytical part is literary research and data collection of technical data sheets. The practical part is based on personal experience, consultation with experts and records of each case. RESULTS: The result of the work is a summarization of information related to the assembly of various types of TF prosthesis for adult patients with no special demands. The work shows and sumarizes not only the type of sockets but the basic principles of construction prostheses. Methods: The basic of all work is a literature review. The analytical part of the work I focus only literature search. In the practical part I used literature search, but also knowledge and consultation with prosthetics, who have been working for many years in the field. Effect application of spinal braces for final treatment effect

Title: Effect application of spinal braces for final treatment effect Objectives: The aim of this work is to present basic information about spinal brace therapy to correct congenital or acquired deformities of the spine and to evaluate the experience of conservative therapy. Method: I used the method of qualitative data collection from literature, published expert articles and journals. The information was reviewed in consultation with the supervisor Ing. Pavel Černý. Result: Brace therapy is a demonstrably effective treatment method. Results depends on the degree of curvature, on correction by the brace and the amount of time wearing a corset. For the patient it is more acceptable to apply the corset in a night-time regime on smaller curves (up to about 20 degrees Cobb). The patient is then not hampered in daily activities and also prevents the progression of the curves. Title: The influence of individual orthoses on ulcer healing in diabetic foot syndrome Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of individual braces and confirm or refute the suitability of these tools for diabetics with diabetic foot syndrome on the basis of statistical evaluation. Methods: This study is a theoretical and empirical, quantitative research was used in the form of a retrospective monitoring during treatment of patients with individual orthoses. Further observations conducted participated. Participated observation was made as a collaboration with orthotics, from which he was readmitted systematically collected data for statistical processing and ran with it professional consultation. It is an analysis of the data for the period of one year (2013) and their comparison. I used data from a file made of 32 patients using individual brace. Age and gender were not her concern. Results: The aim of this work was to gather feedback for doctors and orthotics, who are dedicated to patients with diabetic foot syndrome and defects in them. An effort was made on a sample of patients to determine whether it is effective to prescribe and create these patients individual orthoses that will improve healing in them. Title: Orthosis for proprioceptive effect according to the principle of Nancy Hylton Objectives: The goal is to introduce proprioceptive orthosis based on the principle physiotherapist Nancy Hylton focused on explaining the various concepts, methods and procedures that relate to the proper indication of a particular type of equipment including materials recommendations. Also how to provide the successful application of the aids and the use for the in combination with the methods of physiotherapy. A comprehensive summary of the information could be used as teaching material suitable for various specializations. Methods: The main method is qualitative research through the collection and analysis of data involving foreign articles supplemented by formal and informal interview with an expert. Results: The work represents a theme and provides a basis for using the work as guides or training material. Interdisciplinary metrology in the field prosthetist-orthotist

Title: Interdisciplinary metrology in the field prosthetist - orthotist Objectives: The main objective of this work is to give a comprehensive overview of the available and used methods of measurement tools used within the field orthotist - prosthetist with regard to interdisciplinary cooperation mostly with doctors and physiotherapists. Method: The work was developed using the method of qualitative data collection of research articles, literature and oral information obtained from experts in the field, which was subsequently traced in written form, so everything was underpinned by relevant literature. Result: In the field orthotist - prosthetist there is a large and diverse range of measurements with various devices on which it is produced by an orthotic, prosthetic or calceotic device. Measurements must be performed as accurately as possible, always with respect to the used product and to a patient who will use the product. What is important is cooperation with doctors when taking radiographs especially when making the torso braces or corrective braces for limbs. Title: Use of selected computer aided methods in the field of orthotics - prosthetics Objectives: The aim of this work is to process a systematic search of the available resources in the use of computer-aided (assisted) methods in the field of orthotics - prosthetics and sort the retrieved information into a comprehensive structure. Comprehensive information on the current use of these technologies in the field of orthotics - prosthetics. Furthermore, based on research carried out to determine possibilities of use of these technologies in the field orthotics - prosthetics. If there is enough information, cost-effectiveness analysis will be done. Methods: For the development of this thesis, a chosen method of systematic search of published resources available databases was used. Results: Use of computer-aided methods in the field orthotics - prosthetics is available in several versions. In Czech Republic this sector still favours a majority to conventional production methods, greater representation of computerized methods in this field is outside of the Czech Republic.
