The Development of Reading Abilities and Difficulties in the Genetic Method
Koníčková, Martina ; Kucharská, Anna (advisor) ; Michalová, Zdena (referee)
Development of Reader's Abilities and Difficulties in the Genetic Reading Method The diploma thesis consists of two parts. In the theoretical part, I focused on initial reading from the psychological point of view. I also mentioned the system of writing and initial writing. Furthermore, I deal with methods of initial reading teaching from the historical point of view, and I am particularly engaged in the genetic method. Simultaneously, I also focused on difficulties appearing in reading and early diagnosis and compensation of dyslexia as well as its influence on children's mind. In the practical part, I surveyed the differences between the genetic method and the analytical-synthetic method concerning development of reading. I tried to find out about reading ability development in these children and whether there appear problems during the teaching and to what extent. I focused on the finding, if the efficiency of both methods is the same and I tried to discover if it is also possible to use standards from the 80s, which were concretized in the textbook "Zkouška čtení" (Matějček a kol. 1987) and standardized during time period when was used only the analytical-synthetic method of reading.

Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Home Individual Education
Cihlová, Andrea ; Michalová, Zdena (advisor) ; Housarová, Blanka (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to describe individual education in relation to home or otherwise educated children. Education whilst compulsory, however, does not by law mean that it must take place in a formal school. Pupils educated away from formal schools are described as, 'educated otherwise'. Their compulsory education does not take place at school, but at home, where a parent becomes teacher. For my active research I compared the legislations in both the Czech Republic and Great Britain (England). I also organised interviews with parents experienced with home education. Pointing out typical diferencies of individual edcucation in both countries, this is a consequence of this work. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
