Study of Preparation and Properties of Historic Mortars

The diploma thesis is concerned with study of preparation and properties of historic mortars. In theoretical part, there is summarized the historic progress of mortars and their material composition. The experimental part is focused on proposition of mortar mixes. The diploma thesis referring to actual research on Institute of Technology of Building Materials and Components, FCE VUT in Brno. The base mixe of historical mortar came from this research. In experiment, there is the base mixe of historical mortar modified with gypsum. In the first phase of the experimental part the basic technological and aplication properties are assessed. The second phase of the experimental part is focused on the course of hydration of the binder in different environments and subseqeunt determination of the phase composition by X-ray diffraction analysis. The aim of the thesis is to determine the optimal amount of gypsum and to optimize the recipe of historical mortar.

Theoretical part also includes energy crisis description, its development and impact on consumer. Practical part includes the analysis of results of the questionnaire survey.

Level and Efficiency of External Controls of Schools in Liberec Region (Focused on Founders' Competences and Mutual Cooperation During the Inspection)

My thesis analyzes and evaluates the status and functioning of the education system in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it analyzes the causes and consequences of influence of each factor on its quality. The found knowledge is summarized in the proposal of the new external school evaluation. Conslusions are based on the results of inquiry of directors, founders and employees of Czech School Inspection of Liberec region, based on the results of the national project Road to Quality Improvement realized in the Czech Republic, as well as the conclusions are based on results of international teams interested in implementation of evalution of school systems, for example Organization for Economic Cooperation Development (OECD), McKinsey & Company and Standing Conference of Central and General Inspectorates of Education (SICI). The aim of this thesis it to find the scale of competences and responsibility of each subject in educational politics. It is focused on qualification of founders and drawing of consequences coming from all indentified aspects. Not only evaluators' assistance and support to schools, but as well the mutual coherence and cooperation of all participating objects are very important parts of the process improving the quality of schools. Possibilities of Using Waste Materials in Trenchless Renovation Piping Systems

Properties of the resin system are key properties in the CIPP trenchless pipeline repair system. Fillers affect the properties of the resin system and the cost of renovation. One of the ecologically and economically attractive options is the use of secondary raw materials. The article describes the properties of some suitable secondary raw materials and their influence on the properties of the resin system in comparison with traditional fillers The article compares three types of secondary waste materials and the reference filler. The SiO2 content, the particle size of the filler and the mechanical parameters of the proposed recipes are most important.

Assessment of Physical-Mechanical Properties of Polymer Adhesive Materials

This paper deals with the problematics of polymer adhesive mortars. In this study, the vinyl ester and epoxy resins filled with siliceous filler were used. This paper studies physical-mechanical properties of developed mortars. The compressive strength, flexural strength, and abrasion resistance. The maximum filling ratio for each mortar was found while preserving the applicability in masonry way (by spatula). The results show that the amine-based epoxy mortar exhibits lower physical-mechanical properties than the vinylester-based adhesive mortar, except for the abrasion resistance, in which the epoxy-based composite has achieved significantly better results.
