The peripheral testing module design for mobile robot.
Mašek, Petr ; Marada, Tomáš (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design and realization of testing modules for detecting a defective peripheral in a mobile robot. One of the modules is intended for the diagnosis of ultra sonic range finder. The second one simulates the behaviour of these ultra sonic range finders, making it able to determine interface on which it is necessary to look for an error.
Design and realization of visual localization system for autonomous mobile robot
Filip, Sebastián ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Růžička, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design and realization of indoor visual localization system in known environment. The first two parts are dedicated to the theoretical introduction to the problem and cover localization and image proccesing. The third part describes a designed system. The last two parts are dedicated to the system realization and its testing.
Design and realization of emebedded control system for mobile robot Bender II
Meindl, Jan ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This thesis describes design of the embedded control system for a four-wheel mobile robot Bender II. The first part deals with analysis of applicable platforms for embedded control system and four-wheel chassis kinematics. The second part focuses on describing the microcontroller Mbed, practical construction of the power supply for control systems and describes the framework created for communication with superior computer. The last chapter deals with one particular solution of speed measurement and transformation of this data into coordinates requested by supervisory system, which is a robotic framework ROS.
Static solution of reinforced concrete ceiling construction of pedestrian subway
Mašek, Petr ; Laníková, Ivana (referee) ; Zlámal, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis deals with design of a reinforced concrete structure of a pedestrian subway, which is connecting two newly built administrative buildings in a new business area of the city. The subway structure is taking over a four lane urban road and inside it enables a free passage for pedestrians between both administrative buildings. The frame structure fixed to the foundation strips was chosen as the best solution. The structure was assessed according to valid European norms. General and detailed drawing documentation is also part of the thesis.
Static solution of reinforced concrete structure
Mašek, Petr ; Kostiha, Vojtěch (referee) ; Zlámal, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with study of feasibility of waterpark monolithic reinforced concrete structure with roof terrace. This structure has one underground floor, which has water park utility function and two above ground floors. On the roof is terrace with grass, mobile bar and with space to relax. Subject of this diploma thesis is the main loadbearing frame, which has span 32 m. The structure is assessed according to limit states of valid norms and also takes into account construction stages and time dependent analysis. The structure is calculated on beam and slab-plate structural models. Structural analysis and general drawings are done.
Design of control units for semiautomous convoy
Kolomazník, Vojtěch ; Růžička, Michal (referee) ; Mašek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a design of a low level control units for a semiautonomous convoy. A crucial purpose of control units is convoy vehicles control, where the designed unit will be able to control of steering and speed actuators, where PWM signals were used for actuators control. These are based on a high level system commands. Control unit is able to send ultrasonic sonar and battery level data to the high level control unit. The communication between high and low level control systems provides an USART communication interface.
Fixed-wing UAV simulation modeling
Příleský, Libor ; Mašek, Petr (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays number of UAVs is still increasing. If we want to design their autopilot system, we need a simulation model to test and tune our autopilot design. This thesis is about creating such model fo small fixed wing UAV. This thesis contain information how to create the model, which equations to use and what various parameters mean. One of the possibilities is parameter identification from measured data. In later part of this paper is a small research of this topic and implementation of two of them. Virtual model, which is obtained at the end of this work, accomplished its primary goal and was used to initial autopilot design. Implemented identification methods worked as well, but we didn't succeed in upgrading the model parameters due to the defects during the data measurement.
Methodology of Research, Revision and Passporting of Historical Library Collections
Šípek, Richard ; Mašek, Petr ; Hájek, Pavel ; Paličková, Tereza
The aim of the methodology is to present a clear synthetic guide and tool for the care of the historical book collection, its analysis in terms of content, chronology and provenance and its synthesizing evaluation in the form of a study. In addition to a comprehensive secondary bibliography on the issue of the historical book collection in the broadest sense and an overview of current legislation, it also contains a clear guide to the global treatment of the historical book collection according to its specific type, as well as recommendations for its long-term management and care. The methodology also includes advice on the selection of books for conservation and restoration and on ensuring appropriate storage conditions for the historic book collection.

The Library of Melchior Gniesen von Kobach
Opatrná, Michaela ; Šípek, Richard (advisor) ; Mašek, Petr (referee)
Opatrná, Michaela - The Library of Melchior Gniesen von Kobach Faculty of Philosophy at Charles University, Prague 1, sq. Jana Palacha 2 Thesis supervisor: PhDr. Richard Šípek, Ph.D. The aim of this Thesis is to describe the newly discovered Library of Melchior Gniesen von Kobach († 1627), the Council of the Appellate court and the Chancellor of the Maltese Order, which is currently located in Maltese library stored in the Library of the National Archive of the Czech Republic (includes 184 vol.). The theoretical part presents a basic information about the formation and form of town libraries in the early modern period, short description of the Knights of St John in Bohemia, description of the history and current state of the convent library in Prague, Melchior Gniesen's CV and presentation of his library. In the practical part thereis a complete catalog of the surviving books of the Library of Melchior Gniesen, its content and formal analysis, followed by evaluation of the importance of work. Used research methods are: observation, document analysis and analogy.
