Services over digital archives in science and research

The thesis focuses on various information services over digital archives and institutional repositories in the area of science and research. It aims to ascertain these online services and introduce, analyse and assess selected examples in detail. Their quantitative as well as qualitative features are emphasized - The work is logically divided into four chapters. The first one defines the basic terminology and outlines the contemporary status of scholarly communication on the Internet. The second chapter introduces a comprehensive list of services as well as their suggested typology. The third chapter constitutes the core of the thesis and presents the descriptions and analysys of the selected services. The fourth final part includes the comparison of their relevant parameters, final assessment and the perspectives of their future development. The Persona of the Journalist Vojtěch Dolejší

This bachelor thesis focuses on the persona of the communist journalist Vojtěch Dolejší. It aims to introduce this persona, describe the most important phases of his life and put him in a historical, medial and socio-political context. A very important part of the thesis is also a thorough analysis of selected monographs of Dolejší. The first section of the thesis is focused on Dolejší's life and his work for various Czechoslovak journals and magazines as well as his membership in numerous national and international organizations. The second part of the thesis comprises of the critical analysis of the selected monographs. In this section, the emphasis is put foremost on the main traits of his writing style. Significant non-European national digital libraries

The bachelor thesis introduces and describes in detail selected non-European national digital libraries, compares them with each other and compares them with European digital libraries and outlines their relationship to mass digitization projects. The introduction is dedicated to explaining basic terms. The project description is focused especially on user accessibility, materials in digital collections and cooperation at the national and the international level.
