Latex Modified Cement Composites

The subject of dissertation is a study of physic-mechanical properties and development of self-leveling polymer-cement composite of the ternary binder system PC-CAC-CS modified with chemical additives and polymeric substances. The dissertation systematically describes a four-step optimalization of the composite considering its key properties. Experimental part has been focused on monitoring the impact of composite components on selected final properties. Basic physico-mechanical, structural properties and its relations (compressive strength, porosity, flow abilities, setting times) have been analyzed for deeper understanding of the effects of individual composite components. Methods which quantify the existence of the newly formed hydration product – ettringite (XRD, SEM with EDS, calorimetry, dilatometry) has been chosen as additional study methods on selected combinations. A working prototype of self-leveling polymer-cement composite was successfully developed based on systematic process and using of testing procedures and measuring methods.
Methodological Optimization of the Median Research Agency's Likely Voter Model Based on Findings from Czech Household Panel Study

The aim of this graduate thesis is proposing an optimization of the likely voter model parameter values utilized by Median (research agency) based on secondary analysis of data from the third wave and post-election follow-up of the Czech Household Panel Study 2017 and the Median omnibus survey. The theoretical chapter presents selected aspects of the analyzed likely voter model parameters. Secondary data analysis confirms hypotheses regarding the relationships of: 1) voter turnout, prior voting behavior and the intent to vote, 2) pre-election voting preferences and actual voting behavior, 3) reported prior voting behavior and time elapsed since the prior election. Hypotheses are confirmed, and analysis results are utilized in construction of an optimized likely voter model. This model's results are then compared to the results of four currently or formerly published likely voter models (MEDIAN, CVVM2017, CVVM2018, KANTAR), all computed using an identical dataset (September/October 2017 Median omnibus survey). Testing the Van der Veer et al. Fear-based Xenophobia Scale

The paper offers a brief theoretical reflection of the concept of xenophobia and a brief review of quantitative research on the topic. It uses reliability analysis, Confirmatory factor analysis and Mokken scale analysis to test the reliability and internal validity of the 9- tem van der Veer Et al. Fear-based xenophobia scale on a sample representative for the Czech Republic. It then uses the scale's results to forma n index which is then used to confirm several hypotheses to examine the construct's external validity. It reaches the conclusion that the scale is reliable and valid and suitable for use on the Czech population, however its results are too easily affected by the ordering of item options, and its results should therefore be used as an index to analyze other variables, not as a standalone source of information.
